Daya finally returned home. He still had a hard time doing it at the idea. Being at Shreya’s home, but without her. This was the most difficult for him. Living here without her. Since she had been in prison, he had decided to take care of her house. After some discussions together, Shreya had decided that her house would be his too. He loved living here but he would feel better if she was with him, like now.

Since his discussion with Abhijeet, Daya couldn't think of anything else. He had the option of getting Shreya out of jail and couldn't use it. He had never doubted her innocence, he knew she hadn't done anything. Shreya would never have been able to do such a thing and he was surprised that no one saw it. And now he had the opportunity to prove it.

Unfortunately, the evidence, the woman responsible for Vikram’s murder, was gone and no one knew where to find her. He was angry with Abhijeet for not telling him anything before. Why had he waited so long to speak to him? Why not have worked as a team? If they had worked together, they could have found this woman sooner and kept her in safe custody. She wouldn't have disappeared and Shreya would have been home.

He had to do something, find her before Bohra did. Daya really hoped the man wouldn't find her. He didn't know who she was, why she had done what she had done. He should have blamed her, but he couldn't. She was another victim of this monster, not innocent, but victim nonetheless. He knew that the day she was found, she would be sentenced, go to jail. She deserved it, she had killed a man. But he would fight for her, so that justice would not be too harsh on her.

He didn't know her, he didn't even know her name. But without knowing a single detail about her, he knew that she had acted under duress. He had watched the video over and over again. He had seen that imperceptible tremor when firing, that little spark in her eyes, even in the dark. He had spent his life studying the behaviour of people and he had seen in this woman's behaviour that she didn't want to do this but that something forced her to do it. She was going to pay for a crime she had committed under duress because a man wanted revenge.

He felt bad about sending her to jail. This woman may have had a family. He was torn, he didn't know what to do. He had to learn more about her, know who she was, where she came from. But how? Without her name, he couldn't learn more. Or…

- "Yes," he exclaimed, getting up from the sofa where he had settled. "Her DNA. We have her DNA and with that I'll be able to find out who she is."

With this new idea in mind, the ex DCP rushed to the desk on which was the file containing the documents of the case. He had made a copy, with Akash’s help. The young officer hadn't asked any questions, wanting to help Shreya as best he could. Despite his inexperience, he too suspected that the woman was innocent and wanted to get her out of prison as quickly as possible. Not knowing if he had the right to make copies of the file, he hadn't told anyone, not even Nikhil.

So Daya settled in the office and reviewed everything he had. He finally found the lab's reports regarding the DNA found at the scene. He then got up to go up to the bathroom where he found Shreya’s toothbrush, as well as her hairbrush. He would have comparisons made. He knew someone in the lab who owed him a favour and he fully expected to take advantage of it. There he would have the proof he needed. Never mind that the real culprit is in nature, whatever Abhijeet might say about it. He wouldn't leave Shreya another minute there if he could get her out first.

Happy with the change, he decided to make himself a cup of tea. As he walked into the kitchen, his cell phone rang and he pulled it out of his pocket to see the name of his colleague and friend appear on the screen. He picked up, intending to keep him informed of his progress in the case, but Nikhil didn't give him time.

- "I'll pick you up in five minutes," the officer told him. "We need to get to the jail right away."

-" What happened?" Daya worried immediately, forgetting his tea and picking up her jacket. "Is that Shreya? Is she okay?"
