After his interaction with Abhijeet and Nikhil, Sachin went to his sister's room. He wanted to talk to Daya before the two officers came to see him. He already knew what he was going to tell him, that he didn't want to leave Shreya now when he had just found her. That he couldn't give up on his unborn child. Sachin could understand perfectly well. But in this case, he had no choice.

He quickly came to the door, stopped, and hesitated for a moment. Could he disturb them now? He gently pushed open the door and put his head through. Shreya was lying in the bed, Adarsh asleep against her, one arm around her stomach. Daya was sitting in a chair, his eyes never taking Shreya’s away. Sachin could see the man's love for his sister and he blamed himself for coming to cast a shadow on this beautiful painting. But he had to, for the good of all of them.

He waited patiently for his sister to fall asleep, then knocked very lightly on the door, attracting Daya’s attention. The man then gave him a questioning look, but at Sachin's insistence, he let go of Shreya’s hand, straightened up and left the room. He stayed at the door, however, not wanting to stray too far in case she woke up. He wanted to be able to be present at all times. He couldn't stand not being in her presence anymore and didn't know how long this feeling would last.

"What's going on Sachin?" Daya asked then, realizing that something important was in action.

"I saw Abhijeet and he told me something," the young man replied vaguely, but giving enough information to further intrigue the man who prompted him to continue with one movement of hand. “He wants to send Shreya and Adarsh on some kind of witness protection program. He thinks she is still in danger. "

"I think so too," Daya clarified. " It's a good idea. But that's not what bothers you. So come on, tell me. "

“He wants me to go with him. "

“I also think it's a good idea. She's going to need her whole family and there won't be too many two of us to watch over her, ”when Sachin lowered his head, Daya understood what it was all about. “I'm not going with you?"

"ACP Abhijeet wants you to stay and help him catch Bohra," Sachin finally admitted, still not daring to meet Daya’s gaze.

"He wants me to abandon Shreya when she needs me most?" Daya grew angry, before quickly calming himself down so as not to wake Shreya who was still sleeping in the bedroom. "I can't do this, I can't leave her. I spent months believing her dead and finally found her. So my answer is no, I wouldn't let him. If he wants her to join the witness protection program, it will be with me. "

"I knew you would say that," ACP Abhijeet’s voice suddenly came to the hall, followed by Nikhil.

Daya watched them walk towards them, his gaze hard on Abhijeet. He still had not forgiven him for having acted alone for the release of Shreya, blaming him in the operation. He knew that if he had been present he would most certainly have lost his temper, of that he had no doubts. But he had the right to know what he was preparing, he had the right to know that they had finally found Shreya and were about to bring her home.

So no, he couldn't forgive Abhijeet. If he had known, he would have accompanied them, would have stayed in the van, impatiently waiting to see her come out of the house. It would have been difficult, he had to admit. Knowing that the woman he loved was in this house but there was nothing he could do to help her. But at least he would have been there to greet her, he would have been there to hug her and tell her that everything would be fine now.

He couldn't blame Abhijeet for the young woman's injury, the officer couldn't predict what would happen. In this kind of operation, you can never know how things will turn out. But he could reproach him for his silence on his secret searches to find her and he did not deny it.
