Chapter 18

Melina's * POV *
" did my dad know you guys were coming ? " she said walking into her room. " ya. We wanted it to be a surprise. " I said sittingon her bed. " oh ok. So what do you want to do? " she said. " let's go get Sammy and go ice skating. " I said. " ok. Is it ok if Nate can come? " she said. " ya sure. I'm looking forward to meeting this Nate kid. " I said. She nodded and left.

I walked in the living room and sat down next to Sammy. " hey " I said. He looked at me and kissed me. " hey " he said afterwards. I smiled. He intertwined our fingers. I laid my head on his shoulder. A few minutes later Aliah walked in with Nate. Wow

Aliah's * POV *
We went to my front porch and walked in my house. Nate and Melina were staring at each other in awe. I looked at Sammy and he looked at me with wide eyes. Sammy coughed and held Melina's hand making sure Nate saw. " Hey, I'm Nate. " he said walking to Melina and shaking her hand. " I'm Melina " she said shaking his hand and smiling. " you're smile is really beautiful " he said. I automatically looked at Sammy. He clenched his fists and went to stand up but I ran over and put my hand on his shoulder. He was really tense. " hey chill " I said. He took a deep breath and nodded.

Later
We were at the ice skating rink putting the ice skates on. We went out on the ice and Nate and Melina automatically got the hang of it and started skating like it was the easiest thing in the world. Sammy and I weren't even on the ice yet. " are you good at ice skating ? " I asked him. " I haven't gone ice skating since I was 9 but, I'm pretty sure I've got this. " he said. He stepped on the ice. " see " he said looking at me. He took a step and automatically slipped and fell. I started cracking up. " shut up " he said. " I'm sorry but you said, and I quote " I've got this " " I said laughing.

I helped him up. He looked over at Melina. She was laughing at something Nate said. He ran his hand through his hair and put his head down. " hey. It's ok. " I said putting my hand on his shoulder. He nodded and we kept trying to skate. I almost got the hang of it when I fell. I started laughing and just laid there. Sammy took my hand and pulled me up but when he pulled me up I ended up being really close to him. I pulled away and coughed. " sorry thanks for helping me up " I said. " no problem. " he said.

Melina's * POV *
Nate and I were skating around the ice when I slipped and almost fell but Nate caught me. I laughed. " thanks " I said. " I'm happy I met you " he said. " I'm happy I met you too " I said. I think I have feelings for Nate.

After skating we went to Olive Garden. I sat in one of the booths, Nate went to sit next to me but Sammy raced to the seat first. He sat next to me and smiled. Nate was looking at me the whole time. Aliah awkwardly ate her food.

After we left Olive Garden we dropped Nate off. " bye guys, bye Melina " he said and winked. I blushed and waved. Sammy rolled his eyes. We went back to Aliah's house and watched a movie. " do you guys want to help me pick out a dress tomorrow for um my moms funeral " she said awkwardly. " of course. I have to find a dress too " I said. Sammy nodded. I went to hold his hand but he jerked his hand away. I just brushed it off.

Next day.
Sammy's * POV *
Me, Nate, Aliah, and Melina all drove to Von Maur ,a fancy dress place. " Hi how may I help you? " the lady at the desk said. " I'm looking for a black dress " Aliah said. " for what event ? " the lady said. " a funeral " Aliah said. The lady nodded and walked us to a section of dresses. " I will be at the desk if you need anything " the lady said smiling. " thanks " Aliah said. Melina and Aliah picked out a few dresses. Melina went in the dressing room first so that Aliah and I could judge.

Melina came out in the first dress. It hugged her curves. God she looks beautiful. " maybe " Aliah said. " what she says " I said. Nate said the same thing. Melina laughed and went back into the dressing room. When she walked in the dressing room I caught Nate staring at her butt. I went to walk over to him but Aliah calmed me down. I've been having issues with my anger lately.
