Shop Walk

"Do we need shampoo?" Selina asked. She didn't wait for Damian to answer as she picked it up and set it in the cart.

Damian looked to the side, slightly annoyed at the inconvenience of shopping. Alfred was sick and since the family had nothing to do decided to get specifically, tissues.

Except as soon as they got to the store Bruce had to take a business call, Dick got distracted with a sale, Jason wandered to the junk food section, Tim got lost as he typed on his phone, and Damian and Titus were stuck following Seline around. This particular store allowed animals in, just because when Damian went on his runs he would go with his dogs and would stop here every time. The woman who ran the store eventually suggested he just bring his dogs in. She became presistant when she found out Damian was Bruce Wayne's kid. Today as it turned out was the day Titan was gettting groomed by a professional.

Seline pushed the cart forward and hummed to herself as she continued walking.

Damian followed her with Titus walking by his side.

Titus hardly had any interest in the things on the shelf but rather the animal that was running around in the cracks of the store.

He didn't know what the animal was just that it smelled like the streets.

Titus sniffed around, intent on finding this animal to figure out what it was.

"So Damian, do you need anything for school? Pencils? Notebook? Flashcards?" Selina asked as she scanned the objects in the clearence section.

"Those things are unnecessary and I suggest we continue on to find the tissues instead of the purposeless items we have acquired throughout the store." Damian replied with a roll of his eyes.

"Little sasafrass today aren't we?" Selina teased as she pushed the cart forward "Okay, we'll continue on."

Damian scowled at the nickname she had given him but then saw the candy aisle. No, Damian didn't care for candy, but he didn't mind the lemon drops.

"I'll be right back" Damian said, leaving Selina's side to walk into the aisle with Titus.

To tease him she called "Don't get kidnapped!"

Damian could only roll his eyes as he walked into the aisle.

Titus on the other hand, was busy. He finally got a glimpse of the animal in the shelves. It looked like a stray ginger cat that was crawling its way around the store, Sneaking in and out of sections unnoticed.

While Damian was distracted with finding his candy Titus walked down the aisle, following the small cat as it walked out into the open.

The cat saw Titus and for a moment neither moved a muscle. Then Titus barked.

The cat jumped up and ran.

Titus's dog instinct told him to chase it, of course his trained side told him to leave it alone.

Still, he couldn't help himself.

Titus ran afte the fat and it was so sudden that the leash was pulled out of Damian's hand.

Damian swiveled his head around to see Titus disappear silently around the aisle's corner.

"Titus?" Damian asked.

Titus didn't bark, he knew better than to alert the store manager, but he did chase.

Damian ran out of the aisle to see the cat jumping up on things and running across everything in a panic to get away from the great dane.

Titus was careful to not knock too many things over but in doing so he fell behind in the chase.

"Titus get back here!" Damian demanded as he ran after him.
