After being unwillingly dragged from Malfoy Manor, Lucy shut herself up inside of her bedroom for an entire week. She desperately sent letter after letter full of worries and apologies to Draco, and even Narcissa. However, she had not yet heard back from either of them, which made her heart hurt dearly.

September the first began with a fine summer morning. Outside her window, the sun was just barely beginning to rise to its usual throne above the clouds, casting a magnificent glow over the surrounding forest. Lucy had packed her trunk neatly and dressed quietly as she prepared to embark for Kings Cross Station. Any and all excitement for the upcoming term had disappeared from her the moment she was whisked away from Draco.

Lucy stood in front of the scarlet red engine that was billowing grand plumes of steam. The platform was noticeably quieter and less crowded that day.  Trunk in hand, she boarded the Hogwarts Express for the last-first-time, leaving her miserable summer behind her.

Lucy began to wander down the eerily quiet corridor, looking for a compartment. Part of her secretly hoped she would spot Draco, dressed up in his rich black suit, seated in one of them. But of course he wouldn't be there. The two had pondered the idea for awhile, and he knew it was unsafe for them to return. Lucy was terrified to return after the events that had occurred.

The usual excitement and cheerful demeanor of the train was much more dull, perhaps due to the fact that the Wizarding World was on the verge of a war. Or, maybe it had to do with the previous Headmaster being murdered only months ago.

Images of Dumbledore's lifeless body flying over the bannister flashed through Lucy's head. She shook the thoughts away as she spotted Pansy, Blaise, and Arielle in a compartment.

"Lucy?" snapped Arielle the moment that she slid the compartment door open. Lucy smiled at her best friend, who clearly had dyed her hair a fresh shade of cherry red. It suited her. However, Arielle did not return the smile as she took in Lucy's sullen appearance.

"What the fuck?" she demanded harshly. "You disappear for months, and just appear in our compartment?"

Lucy's heart sinks into her stomach as she realizes Arielle had no clue where she went.

"I thought—I thought Theo told you lot—"

"Told us what?" added Pansy with an upturned nose.

"He told us you ran into the fucking fighting the night Dumbledore died, and that you're a Death Eater!" she harshly spat out at the raven haired girl. "I was worried sick about you, you fucking idiot!"

"Yeah, we were really worried," added Pansy in a tone that suggested she was not worried much at all. Her hair had grown over the summer and now tumbled over her shoulders.
