   The world was on fire.

The forcefield was falling apart into great fiery pieces, and suddenly curses and spells were being hurled at the castle. Lucy just barely made out the shadow of Death Eaters whipping around in the air and realized she needed to get back downstairs to help the students.

An explosion rocked the tower, sending her tumbling down the staircase and certainly bruising a few different places.

Draco would find her when he was done. He had taken the liberty of charming her wedding ring so that he could communicate with her while apart while enchanting one of his silver rings to match.

Lucy dashed down the staircase as another explosion sent her tumbling once more, this time off one of the moving staircases.

"Arresto Momentum!" called out a voice moments before Lucy smacked into the ground.

Lucy felt her body hover for a few seconds before falling a bit more gently. When she looked up, she couldn't help but choke out a sob at the sight of Arielle. Her cherry red hair rippled down her shoulders as she stood proudly, lowering her wand as she dashed forward towards her best friend.

"How the— bloody hell—?" Lucy began but Arielle merely tugged her best friend into a bone-crushing hug and smiled.

"You didn't think I'd let my best friend fight to the death alone, did you?" she laughed before the two began hurrying through the chaotic, crowded hallways.

"Blaise was out looking for Draco, he swore he saw him—"

"Draco's off looking for his wand!" Lucy interrupted.

"Oh bloody hell!"

Suddenly, the dark clouds of Death Eaters burst into the hall, sending incantations every which way.

"Stupefy!" she roared, sending one of them flying into the wall and slumping down it.

However, the other managed to hit a Ravenclaw girl square in the chest with the Killing curse, and Lucy watched in horror as the girl fell lifelessly to the ground.

"Avada Kedavra!" cried out Arielle boldly, killing the Death Eater in return.

Lucy stared wide-eyed. "Damn,"

Arielle's face was laced with anger as the two began to fight their way through the congested hallways of the castle. It was utter pandemonium and chaos. Students, Order members, and Death Eaters alike lined the hallways dead.

The two girls managed to make it outside to the courtyard only to find the castle in ruined pieces around them. The courtyard was full of debris, and gigantic trolls swung large axe-like weapons around at the witches and wizards dueling. Death Eaters were everywhere.

Lucy's fight or flight had kicked in as she began dodging and sending curses back and forth to Death Eaters.

Just as they turned a corner, a spell nearly blasted into Lucy, yet Arielle yanked her back just in the nick of time as it burned into the stone wall before her.

It was only then that Lucy's eyes met the Death Eater who had sent the spell at her.

"No fucking way," Lucy murmured, stepping past the stone. "Protego,"

A shield erupted before her as she walked forward, meeting the eyes of Yaxley.

He sneered,  his blonde hair unkept and greasy from battle as he let a few more curses fly. Arielle stepped forward to help, but Lucy shook her head.

"I'm going to kill him myself," she declared before taking a shallow breath as the two began to duel. It was like a dance except Lucy was dancing with her own life.
