[7] ᴛʜᴇ ɪɴᴠɪꜱɪʙʟᴇ ᴅᴏᴏʀ

They walked in the library and looked for the so called 'invisible door' Alexis was talking about. Somewhere in the back where no one was, was just a simple bookcase that didn't look weird or different from the others.

"Okay, can you check that no one's there?" Alexis turned around to Lando. "Sure, but are you sure it's here?" Lando asked. "Mhm, you can't see it right now since it's invisible but I can make it appear in a bit." Alexis smiled. "Alright then, good luck." Lando said and turned around.

"I got it, it's appearing!" Alexis said excited as the door started appearing part divided. "Woah, it really is there!" Lando said amazed. "I know right, now let's go before someone sees us." Alexis said as she opened the door. "Quick, I think someone's coming!" Lando said as he pushed Alexis and him through the doorway.

'Hmm, I thought I heard something.' the librarian thought as she walked up to the spot Alexis and Lando just stood. Meanwhile, the 2 were already outside of the school somewhere next to the stone circle.

"Woah, I still can't believe it worked!" Lando said as the door disappeared as they stood on the grass. "Of course it did, you just have to manipulate the lock with your ability and then it will melt. Especially when you do it with your fire power." Alexis said. "Maybe yeah, but what's the plan actually?" Lando asked.

"Well, we could try and get the creature's attention while we're standing outside of the barrier." Alexis said. "I still don't think it's a good idea, but sure I guess." Lando said and they walked up to the forest.

They stood in front of it and outstretched their hands to check where the barrier was. They looked at each other and said, "Ready?" When they both nodded in agreement, they let their abilities appear in their hands and held them against the barrier. At first, nothing really happened, but then suddenly their abilities started combining out of nowhere.

"But we didn't even-" Lando said but got cut off by the barrier turning purple for a second. "Maybe it's already automatically that they're combining." Alexis said. "Could be, let's try to do it again." Lando said as they combined their abilities again. "I don't think it's working, maybe we'll have to go inside." Alexis said.

"We don't know how many creatures there are out there, so we'll have to watch out." Lando said as he grabbed Alexis' wrist softly. "Of course, I trust you." Alexis smiled comforting. "Same, even if we just met a few hours ago, I feel like I've already known you for a long time." Lando returned the smile. "Yeah, it's crazy, isn't it." Alexis said.

"Mhm, are you ready to go in?" Lando smiled. "Ready as I'll ever be." Alexis said firmly as she returned the smile.

They stepped through the barrier as they still held each other's wrist, looking around to make sure the creature's not around. They'd decided to not go any further to avoid getting hurt or worse, killed by the creature. As they held each other's wrists, their abilities started appearing out of nowhere and combing again.

"What's up with those things! They just keep randomly combining without us even doing anything!" Alexis suddenly said. "Maybe it's a sign, who knows that it'll help us defeat the creature or maybe it's trying to tell us that the creature's close." Lando said. "Could be, but let's just ignore it for now and watch out." Alexis laughed.

"That's a plan, but we'll have to be careful though." Lando said as they looked around. "Something else, I think it just started snowing!" Alexis smiled bright. "Heh, I guess it is yeah." Lando said as he held his free hand before him. "Underneath the tree!" Alexis sang as she started dancing. "You really love Christmas, don't you." Lando laughed.

"Of course I do, mostly because of the atmosphere, the presents and the food." Alexis laughed. "I could imagine that for sure, I love it too actually." Lando smiled. "I have an idea, we could organize a Christmas party!" Alexis said excited. "You mean with the rest of the school or just the ones we invite?" Lando asked.

"I like both of those ideas." Alexis said as she shrugged her shoulders and they continued to walk through the forest.
