It was 4 days later, the staff hadn't found out where the purple dust came from and the Christmas party was starting to get close.
"I just thought about it, I haven't picked out my outfit for tomorrow yet!" Alexis suddenly said when Lando was teaching her more about magic in her dormitory. "Don't you remember? I'm picking your outfit." Lando smiled. "Dang it, I forgot you were gonna do that." Alexis rolled with her eyes.
"Now that I'm thinking about it, let's go to the mall." Lando suggested. "Sure I guess, lemme change real quick." Alexis said as she got up and walked over to her wardrobe. "I'm curious what kind of clothes you have, actually. We always wear our uniforms, so I don't really know." Lando said and tilt his head a little.
"I love wearing hoodies, skinny jeans and sports shoes." Alexis smiled as she picked out a hoodie from her wardrobe. "Me too actually, I'll also go change by the way." Lando said as he got up to leave the room.
"Wait-" he said and walked up to Alexis. "Hm?" Alexis asked. "Let's both wear something green." Lando smiled. "Alright then, I'll see what I can wear." Alexis smiled as Lando left the room.
He'd tried to not let it be too obvious, but giving Alexis some hints about him having a crush on her didn't exactly work. During the week they'd hung out, he'd started to notice little details of Alexis like her beautiful turquoise eyes or the little scars on her nose. He hadn't told her yet though, he would do anything for her to not know it.
'The more I hangout with her, the more I love her. I don't know what to do anymore...' Lando thought and sat down on his bed. Then suddenly, his phone tinged which meant he had a notification. It was from 'Alexis <3' which made his heart pump a little faster.
'I have 2 green sweatshirts, which one do you like most?' it said and a photo of 2 green sweatshirts popped up underneath the text message. 'I like both, but I think I prefer the one on the right.' he sent back and walked over to his wardrobe to choose his outfit.
About 7 minutes later, Lando knocked on Alexis' door and she quickly opened it as she was trying to put her hair in a bun.
"Hi, I'm wearing the sweatshirt you picked." Alexis smiled as she pointed at her sweatshirt. "It's nice! I'm wearing this green hoodie, what do you think?" Lando smiled as he spun around.
"You look nice, could you help me with my bun for a second?" Alexis asked as she was struggling with her bun. "Yeah sure, I can clearly tell you need help." Lando laughed.
"Here you go." Lando smiled as he was done fixing Alexis' bun. "Woah, thanks! You're really good at this!" Alexis smiled bright. "Heh, thanks. I used to do this all the time with my younger sister." Lando said. "That's so wholesome!" Alexis smiled. "Haha, yeah. Ready to go?" Lando asked. "Yup, let's go!" Alexis said.
They left Alexis' dormitory and walked outside the school once they were downstairs. Not so far from the school was a train station which they were headed to since the mall wasn't exactly that close from the school.
When around half an hour they'd arrived, they stepped out of the train and walked out of the train station. The mall was only a 5 minute walk from there so they were there pretty soon. It was a Saturday plus the day before Christmas, so it was really busy around there. People who needed a last minute Christmas present were everywhere.
"Let's go into this store." Lando dragged Alexis with him towards a store with formal clothes. "Oof, they're normal clothes and not clothes where you see more skin than outfit." Alexis sighed in relief. "Yeah of course, what did you think, that I'm gonna get you something inappropriate?" Lando laughed.
"I don't know, but I'm happy that you won't." Alexis said. "Mhm, I think I see some nice dresses over here." Lando walked over to a rack of dresses. "Oh my- you really want me to wear a dress, don't you?" Alexis said. "Yeah I do, I'm curious how you look like in it." Lando smiled. "Just normal, nothing special." Alexis rolled with her eyes.
"Yeah yeah, that's what they all say. Here, try this on." Lando handed Alexis a red glitter off shoulder dress with a slit on the right.

This? This is what you think will look good on me?" Alexis looked at Lando with a disbelieving look. "You look good in literally everything, now just try it on." Lando said. "Okay fine, but I'm still sure it won't look as good on me as you expect it to be." Alexis said and walked over to the dressing rooms in the back of the store.
