"Briar?!"
Kai's head emerged from the corner of the wall like a titan ready to murder.

His eyes bounced to me in shock as I held Briar in the choke hold position.
"DAD SHE'S A INTRUDER!"

I shouted at the top of my lungs, feeling myself stiffen as Briar rattled her head back and fourth.

"I, I'm not a intruder child-"
"Yes you are!"
"DONNA?"
I flinched.

My father clawed Briar off me as her head slowly melted into his neck, arms wrung over his chest.

"This is Briar Thompson, she's been my business partner overseas at the Lawfirm over the past few months!"

My mouth formed a big O as my father tenderly inspected Briar's neck for wounds.

"I'm so so sorry B,Briar, was it?...I had no idea-"

"You should get a standing ovation for overreaction dear." Briar's budded lips thinned over as my fathers hands slowly massaged her neck in a cyclical rhythm.

"I'm not exactly dressed as a Assassin, am I."
"No, I suppose no-"

Both my eyes travelled between their words and their tenderly movements. In caution.

"You just...never know these days."
I replied haughtily.

My Father's eyes darkened, wheeling down Briar's lace as if a light bulb went out. "Repeat what you just said."

Briar' floppy hair smacked him in the face. "What?"
"If I recall you said something along the lines of Standing ovation... and afew ruder words."
The woman paled at Kai's sudden mood  switch. Heres to knowing she hasn't seen him truly angry yet.

Her passive nature must have sweetened his temper, but the beverage no longer is spiked with her magic touch.
"Well I,just ran along with my thoughts, its difficult to always recall little things when you're irritable."

"Then how exactly does "overreaction spark my memory so clearly? You do realise that is my child you are speaking to."

Briar blinked. "Pardon?"
"I don't waste my time repeating myself so let me make things clear, this is my youngest Daughter, Donna kirencho."

Briar's deep rooted gaze shot in my direction. We exchange stares for what feels like a decade.

"The resemblance is uncanny." She answers emotionlessley. Her lips glue back into a rosebud shape.

"I honestly thought the children were a publicity stunt Kai."
I stood up with such speed, my head felt numb, blood rushing to my brain.
"What? Why?"
Briar's face becomes squished with confusion.
"Have you, not heard the stories of your family overseas? The press is having a field trip."

Kai threw his hands up to silence her.
"That is enough Thompson, I'm not having you infect this child with the art of gossip."
Briar averted her attention to the ground. "I understand Sir."

Lev's pov

"So that's everything jonah, everything that has happened, and everything that is happening."

Jonah's mouth exploded open, her eyes were fuming.
"Oh we're gonna have to cut the tramp."
I shot right up.

"Jonah.NO. We, are not doing anything because I, emphasis on the word i here, have everything under control."

"Like hell you do, miss hoeroom teacher is still gonna target your girlfriend no matter if she gets the money or not and its already obvious she isn't in the right state of mind!"
Her eyes glowed dark
"Lev, leave this to me, I know exactly how to punish her."
PUNISH HER?
"How's my favourite nephew!" My uncle opened my door with a huge smile on his face.
"Uncle!"
"Hi daddy." Jonah smiled saintly at uncle jin, dimples neatly dipped into her saying skin.
"How has the meeting gone?"
