KIARA'S POV: Music Masher's fingers idly stirred the chocolate keys, her nails nested on the white tips, unfazed by the lights, the crowds in confused clamor. Even me.

She stretched out her long neck, aerial seeming, in contrast to the crowd's looming expressions, battered with each other's shadows.

No one spoke a word.

Her body suddenly melted into position, wooden heel fused with the wooden pedal.

The daunting lights evaporated, now pallid , were replaced to a simpler baby blue. Without a single pause, she slipped off one red glove, and drew it towards me. Her welcoming ,unarmored hands gestured  triumph and friendship. She'd already calculated the outcome.  She had already won. She knew.

"It's gonna be alright."

I slowly took her hand, wobbling over to where she was.

How can she be this confident? It's almost insulting.

As i was drawn closer and closer, my mind became conscious of one thing.

"Music." Music Masher whispered to me, aware of all open ears and open eyes.

"Music is all you are here to do. This is not the be all and end all. Only a mere fraction of your journey, all your here to do is show off what i already know  you love! your just showing off your talents."

These words boosted my heart with new found faith.

She's right! The crowd is here to listen, not testify my self worth, i already know my worth.

I clenched my doubts. You already know your worth Kiki.

"Do you know of the song, Loneliest girl?" She whispered, rendering between breaths and body language. I nodded gently.

"I'm ready."

I slowly rose up, both legs firmly grounded to the stage. I grabbed my guitar strap, grinning at Masher, scintillating ruby red smiles back at me. I'm not running away.

The tune's harmony dropped from the piano, nostalgia pouring in.

Masher's fingers swam over the piano like she's been preparing escape. Her entire soul watered the keys almost like a plant nurtured by love and care.

I took a deep breath in...

Keep it, keep it close to your heartAnd it won't goKeep it, keep it closeAnd then you'll start to grow....

The ending of the song twinkled away as our chests stayed hot with warmth. The simmering sound of clapping edged into a upheaval of applause, which became shouts of  praise.

"AMAZING!" a couple chorused , while others whooped with large smiles  on their faces.

"That was so amazing!" "Have they done this together before?"  "Damn i'm impressed."

"WELL DONE!" "What a performance!."

My eyes welled up with tears. So this is what being a artist is about. The ups and the downs of music, is what makes this lifestyle well living for. I get it now.

My new found comrade walked over from the piano, almost sheepishly. "I hope i didn't make things more awkward for yo-"

I embraced her instantly, not caring what others thought. "Thank you, for everything,You know, i think....I'm ready to go home." I exclaimed smiling. "I just got so much inspiration from just now, so much pent up frustration bottled away, yeah, i can still be a musician and  be with my family! i just need to show them i'm mature enough to start."

Masher's startled expression, became a face of pride. She was sweating...and her body was hot...but she never looked more alive. Her eyes were glistening.

Maya...

Wait- What?!

The thought  sizzled away as i realised Music Masher was gone. Instead, i was the pupil in a eye of fans, trying to get the last word inWas that...all a dream?

Maya's POV:  "The next train to Azabu is now arriving."

Well done Kiara, i'm proud of you.

My head rested on the train window, cold glass caked with frostbite. I smiled knowingly. Autumn was around the corner.

As is my home.

----

My feet kicked off my leather pumps, still submerged in red and black i crawled up the spiral staircase hands and feet clawing the steps in the darkness, until my head slam dunked into my bedroom suite door. "oW-" i groaned, slowly standing back up.

phew.

My hands dragged open the secret base behind the mirror. "Donna! I'm back! Oh and you will never guess who i stumbled into!"

"I've got afew  interesting ideas." A low voice answered.

"Hu-GAHH!" i screamed.

Ayato sat camly at the end of the room, donna's head fast asleep in his lap.

oh no...

"Oh...Hello again, Music Masher." He answered in a very scary normal voice, Undaunted by my crazy clothes and scream, put together, expectant. s e r e n e.

My body felt like it was going to fall.

"W...Wha..."

"W H A T ?"

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING AT OUR SUITE?!"

"What the hell are you doing at a tokyo nightclub?!"

He slowly got up from his seat, placing donna's body on the cushion softly

"Care to explain?! We have all night Maya."
