Alice's POV
(Maya's mother)"You must be excited to see your daughters again." Those words had caught me off guard "Offcourse." I smiled at the Captain, speaking more to myself than him.
"You have no idea."The express cruiser rocked over gently the engine wurring and clunking lazily. But each churn made my heart race.
I could already catch a glimpse of the neon lit sky scrapers, the familiar tastebuds of Yokohama's bustle setting in. Offcourse we were still hours, days, perhaps evem weeks away from our destination.
But i could visualise home perfectly, and ironically, it made me feel more at peace then when i was on vacation. But i knew why. My little girls. I pray their ok.The night's ebony skies were soon painted candyfloss pink, hot cerise reds, tuscan golden yellows creased over midnight's enclosure.
the lunar hued lighting of the moon and sun fighting for dominance under lazy salt sweet seas of the Mediterranean. "Shame the sky is so pretty, when the sea is a mess." I muttered
Infinite pools of litter sprayed outwards ,matured dolphins, (dusty pink to signify adulthood) frollock around the ocean, rippling through the water peacefull.
My heart sank watching the brown coated blanket swallow up the dolphins, gasping for air. The once clear ozone gently thickened with the lumbering smell of gasoline.
The now orange tainted purview stretched out over the water's sunset coated colour , heavy as the toxic fumes that waltzed across the ocean territorry, surveying the foreign wasteland that now exists.
"I-i can't breathe."
My whole body felt like it was sinking, the wooden flooring became a soft bedding of smoke, my throat condensed like a squeezed pipeline of air.
My eyes could barely see, but a advancing cold shadow from behind made it clear. I was not alone.Laughing cheerfully like it had won a non existent game. "To think Kai dated this thing." I could hear it,I felt something penetratively sharp dig into my sides, torturous and dagger sharp. If only i could cry, if only i could scream, howl, whisper, or even-
Maya's POV
____________"Today is so resplendant! Do you not agree sis?"
It was a warm sunday morning, Donna and i were happily submerged in Japanese cherries and Orange Osmanthus,
covering the crowns of our heads,
my little sister swimming through the spring primulas like an excited puppy. Who could blame her? I felt so at ease.Drama forever seems to evolve around my life, sickenly crazy, yet strangely amusing. My previous Metis had been taken into the police for illegal unauthorisation, , I still don't even know what he did, but he was practically dragged by the neck into the police car, i highly doubt he will be coming back if it's so confidential i can't know.
My friends always seem to have a joker card up their sleeves or illegal
acts seem to dance over their heads. I can't recall the last year i hadnt been informed of a scandal or a tormentingly begrudging twist, either spiced up by the media,or taken out of context.
The ironic thing is everything i've endured could be taken out of context from it's own distastefull looks.
On the outside at least. But thats a story for another timeBut i'm so exhausted right now, i couldn't even care.
Mum was returning home! could this day get any better?
"Did you just look that up?" I giggled like a little kid. " You bet!"
"Say, maya chow." Donna giggled back, her delicate hands picking blossoms for flowerprints."What is a paramour?" My eyes couldn't have popped open any bigger. Did she just call me Maya...CHOW?
"What the hell are you talking about?!" I stood straight up brushing white lily's off my brown heels. "What's with all these crazy terms?"
"A paramour is a lover, and often a secret one you're not married to."
My face felt so warm i it burned like a uncontrollable log fire. Brash and crazy, i couldn't move, did i even want to? I was already aware who stood behind me.
No doubt about it. I felt my arm gently tugged, a minkscule flower placed in one hand.
"A autumn sakura for a new age." The same voice felt a forgotten memory of a thousand kisses. Lustfull and hot. He needs to get away from me.
"In floral language the flower means maiden, japanese heart."
I stuttered. The voice chuckled brightly"Quite true, but i also resmebles cleanliness and love,in chinese Kanji, i like it."
I wanted to crumble into a pile of stones then and there.I felt the smooth green stems against my palm. "Hey wallflower." Soft as a lily pad, sweet and succulent as honey. I felt his lips gently nuzzle my cheek.
" your so adorable."
" Lev, not now, please." I feel like i'm going to melt, two peircing green eyes now warm, affectionate almost.
What kind of chaos is this guy trying to throw me into?!
"Don't get any wild ideas." I grumbled lowly. "Wild ideas?" Pretty boy chuckled softly."i don't have any wild ideas,it is you, the peverted little DJ that has such 'wild ideas.'
Why does this boy have to always ruin my day.
