Book tella

Hello guys! so i've had to deal with some toxic people recently, but now they are completely cut off and i can get back to my passion! ^_^ Hope you guys enjoy the book again! xx

Lev's POV

My thoughts raced through my temple and down my spine, words and demands falling off each other before my thoughts dissolved to nothing but sighs. Small penetrative Doubts played their rituals in rings of overlapping questions that i had not the power to know or answer.

"It's a dog eat dog world out there." My cousin flipped her notebook page suddenly like she was trying to swat the words off the paper. "You've gotten a taste of the unfair realities of it."

"You know you really shouldn't be reading while driving my car."

"Aww,Can a girl not do her active recall in a tattered old ford mustang? I've got finals to do too."

"JONAH THE WHEEL!-"

Jonah's hands pounced back on to the wheel steering us away from a little kid crossing the road.

"CALM DOWN FETUS I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING."

"Well we almost hit into one!" I shouted back pushing her to the side.

"You read, I'll drive this thing."

"Which isn't saying much, do you even have a license?"

"Trust me, from the way you drive, i'm positive i don't need one."

Jonah groaned, rolling her eyes to the back of her sockets before steadying her grip and accelerating at a slower pace. My heart stopped rising up my throat, my legs softening.

I was so damn stiff this entire ride. Jonah noticed too, her eyes was scanning the way i gripped to the chair. I could see her sulking from her eyes alone. A tiny sigh escaped her breath.

Great...now i feel really bad. I stared out the window watching buildings run away from us.

Minutes went by and we still hadn't said anything to each other.

I had to break the ice before we got to Maya's. It was Jonah's idea for her to drive me there since "i was not in the right state of mind." to go off by myself sailing the road like a drunkard.

"Think of it as me repaying a favor." she smiled. "Repaying a favor for what?" I chuckled.

She started blushing hard.

"You don't need to know right now."

"HUH?"

--

I looked at Jonah suspiciously.

"J..Jonah?"

Her eyes stayed on the road. "Yeah?"

I closed my eyes. "So how many times have you had a teacher try to...well , you know."

"Plenty, kiddo, i was the fresh fruit , they were just rotting but looked mature enough to a child ripening at 16. Listen, it's not just a case of them lusting for kids cause they can't get with people their age."

Jonah laughs quietly

"Hell, if that were the case we never would have felt attracted to these teachers."

"WE?."

"Ok, most of us,but you've got to understand lev, these people are like parasites, they want to suck your energy dry, they entertain the idea of using you because they can, the worst thing you can give them is your energy, don't look angry don't look terrified like you do right now."

Jonah suddenly flicked her finger at my forehead. "Ouch."

"Because they want to drain you off your essence, it is pleasurable to them to have dominance over others because they have never been in control of their lives before, they have always been the ones pushed around."

"So you're telling me to feel sympathy for her?" I responded angrily.

"No." Jonah pulled the brakes in front of the gates.

"I'm telling you to not give her your energy."

"This is the kirencho residence, who is this?" The speaker from the gates announced.

Jonah threw her head out the window.

"Just tell your peeps It's Maya's boyfriend and his cousin who's in town."
