"Oh my, fuck!" Chan screams, making me jump from the couch. I turn around, looking at him as he stared wide-eyed at his spell book.

"What?" Minho questions, squinting at the dramatic demon. "Why are you screaming?"

The elder sighs, putting his head in his hands. "I just found a spell. A memory erasing spell in this fucking book."

"What!" I yell, "You just found it?! Why didn't you read faster! You could've saved us time and anxiety! What the hell!"

"Oops? Listen, it's literally at the end of this book. Not my fault that I didn't want to read the entire fucking thing."

"But you're reading it now? How does that make sense, Chan?"

"Doesn't matter! How do we do it and let's go now, please," Minho smiles, getting up from next to me and walking over. He leans over Chan's shoulder, reading. I do the same, getting up and reading the book.

"Wow, very interesting," I giggle, seeing nothing but old, white paper.

"It says we need moonshine, shellfish, and mercury. A few other things, but nothing too hard to get. I do need to go on a trip, though. It won't be long. Maybe a day."

"A shellfish?"

"Yeah."

"...okay."

-

"When do you think he'll be back?" Minho pouts, setting his chin on my shoulder when he embraces me from behind.

"Well, he just left, so probably tomorrow morning. We might get lucky and he'll come tonight. I just want him to get this spell done and over with. I want our lives to be not fearful of some dickwad trying to kill you two."

He rubs my sides, kissing my neck. Calm. Reassured. Better. "Thanks, sunshine," I smile.

"It'll been okay soon enough. Just a few more days and we're free." He kisses my neck again and backs away. "Why don't we order in?"

"That sounds nice. I'll order. You should put on a movie. I don't care which one."

I put in an order online through my phone, selecting a one person meal. Sometimes, I hated that the boys couldn't eat. I felt lonely eating. Plus, I'd be sad if I couldn't eat. It's such a wonderful thing if you get the right food.

When I go into the living room, Minho is scrolling through Netflix. I sit next to him, curling into his side. He wraps an arm around me, keeping me warm.

"Hey, so what are you guys planning on doing about your lost souls? Has Chan found anything?"

"Yeah, actually. He talked to some demons. There are some floaters around this... I don't know. Older building, I think. Chan and I are going to go after this blows over."

"Good."

I hated him being forced into certain things because his body can't take it. I'm sure he's not used to being over emotional, and it's hard not teleporting everywhere without hurting. He'll get better soon enough.

"What would happen if you never replaced the souls?" I strain my neck to look at him.

He shrugs. "I don't know. I've never met anyone who's dealt with it and this is my first time. I'd probably be extremely sensitive for another year, at least. Like a wild animal searching for its desires. Like a vampire holding itself back for as long as possible so they wouldn't have to kill."

"Do vampires exist?"

He looks at me, shutting his mouth. I raise my eyebrows in question. A stupid grin slowly raises onto his face.

"No."

"Oh, my god. They do!" I laugh, throwing my head back. "That's terrifying. Are you serious?"

"I wasn't supposed to tell you," he pouts. "You knowing this is really dangerous, prince."

I shrug. "Me dating you both is dangerous."

"True, but still. The vampires go by different rules than us. They're not like Edward or Bella. They kill and there's no stopping it. I've met a few in my lifetime. They are monsters who weren't born to be."

"Let's watch Twilight."

He chuckles, shaking his head. "You really know how to let that shit go, yeah? That's such a... Jisung thing. If I was still human, I'd be terrified of Chan and any living monster. You? Nope. You're scared of bugs and chickens."

"What can I say? Bugs and chickens just hit different. You and Chan are softies. You're right, though; I do let that shit go fast. I wonder if I'll ever meet a vampire."

"Please don't wonder that and don't want that."

"I'd rather meet a witch anyway."

"You can meet Tzuyu, if you'd like. I'm sure she'll come around sometime."

"Are you friends with any other 'monsters'?"

He looks out to the tv, thinking. "I befriended a werewolf. He was such a nice guy. I haven't seen him in a decade, but I'm sure he's doing alright. He didn't have a pack, but he had a wife. I guess they were their own pack."

"That's sweet," I smile. "Did you guys bond over balls or getting pet?"

He shoots me a glare.

"Okay, okay," I laugh. "You guys are both in the family of dogs, baby. You can't deny that."

"I wish we were cats."

"You're a dog, yet you're a cat person. How does that make sense? God," I look up. "How did you make such a creation?"

"Yah, yah, don't talk to him. He has better things to do than get questioned about his ideas."

I laugh again, resting my head on his shoulder. "It's crazy to think that stuff is real. Everyone portrays it as myths and legends. It makes sense though. How would humans get such an idea without it actually being real? It's like those cavemen drawing mermaids on the wall."

"Mermaids aren't real."

"Liar."

"I like that you believe in everything, good and bad. You have such an open mind." His hand unconsciously rubs my shoulder.

"I'm a gay, polyamorous, Korean male. What did you expect? Oh, my god! Wait, are fairies real? I'm sure they are. Are they tiny?"

"You didn't know that? You see fairies everyday."

I frown. "But I don't- oh." He smiles down at me, flustered that he made such a joke. "You're a brat. Are they actually real? Like Tinkerbell?"

"They are, but there are different kinds. Human size, thumb size. Nothing like Tinkerbell."

"Gosh, why didn't I ask this stuff before?"

"You were too in love to think about it."

"True, but still. You know how into that shit I am. I love watching YouTube videos on it. I spent an entire day researching mermaids. My dad would flip if he found out about this."

"Why's that?"

"We used to watch those kinds of documentaries together when I was little. We didn't have to greatest relationship, but I still enjoyed our moments."

Minho kisses the side of my head. "That's good, angel. I'm glad you had those memories with him."

"Me too."

As our conversation goes silent, the door buzzes. I stand, stretching my arms and back. "That's probably the food. Find Twilight."
