A few weeks had passed since you had found out Vander was alive. Everyday you were waking up afraid it'd be your last with Silco. Except He had been constantly busy with his shimmer shit and other things, that you rarely saw him. The tension that was there in the beginning had faded. You two were once again just friends. Old friends.

You spent your days with Powder watching her master the making of her grenades. Though, powder asked to be called Jinx now so you were always indecisive when you were to call her, which name you should call. It was taking a toll on her, not having her sister around. Having her sister hurt her with the words she said. There were days where she wanted nothing to do with anybody. Then there were days She'd smile and laugh acting like nothing was wrong.

Jinx had broke from your attention and wandered back to her "room" or the massive fan room in which she pleaded to let be her room. Or where she would room. You guess she liked the time to herself? You sat in your own room on your bed facing the window that laid to the underground. You had a glass of whiskey as you fell into thought. The window was open so a cool night breeze gushed into your room cooling the atmosphere. You hair fell along your back lightly moving as the breeze wandered your room.

A knock came at your door causing you to break your sight from the window.

"Come in" you called out turning back towards the window taking a drink of your whiskey. You could hear the door click open and close.

"Am I interrupting something?" The soft accent cooed the quiet room. You too a soft breathe as you turned your head to face Silco.

"No, not at all. Just in my head and enjoying the evening breeze" you spoke quietly as you heard his footsteps approach the end of your bed. "What are you up to?"

"I was just able to break away for the night, and I thought I'd come see you. Since I haven't seen you much these past few weeks and it's taken a hit on me." You were about to take another sip until he said the last sentence. You lowered your hand with your drink it and turning to look at him trying to not show your shocked face.

"Huh?" You managed to push out wildly confused. You angled your body to face him more slight as you watched him sit on the edge of the bed.

" I don't like not Being able to see you. Knowing you're near but no where close to me is undeniably not okay" Silco spoke calming as his eyes examined your features. You sat there unable to respond as you had no idea how TO respond. You could feel your heart begin to thump aggressively in your chest as you felt silco's eyes on you.

"I uh- I didn't think you felt that way." You said clearing your throat as you ran your fingers through your hair before returning your eye contact.

"I've tried everything in my power to not feel this way. I've tried hard to stay away to subside any feelings I had. But after all these years of not having you near me has drove me mad. Not knowing what happened to you. Too afraid to search after you." His head hung low as it look like he was still fighting with himself to decide if what he's saying was true.

"Silco what are you saying?" You questioned as you scooted slightly closer towards to where he sat.

"I'm saying I can't keep something like this to myself when I fear the unknown day of my death. It's been too long without you, I just-"

"Don't talk like that" you shook your head closing your eyes. "I will not sit here and let you say something like you dying again. I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I'm not going to lose you again. I failed you once, I'm not going to again" Your voice cracked showing you were near tears but none had escaped your eyes.

"The longer I sit here everyday, the more I come to terms with me dying. The longer Vander or Piltover takes to attack, the more brutal my death will be." Silco spoke those words as if they were nothing but you were being affected dearly by every word he spoke. You hand cupped his cheek as your tears started streaming down your own redden cheeks. His eyes were hesitant to meet your but he pulled them up staring into yours.

"You still mean too much to me. I will do ANYTHING to make sure you avoid death. At any costs" you were genuine with your response. He cheated death once, you were to make sure he wouldn't have to come to cheat it twice. His eyes were filled with sadness and regret.

"I'm going to make this better for-" Silco began to speak but before he could finish, you threw yourself at him. Colliding your lips with his. Only for a few seconds before pulling away. His eyes were shocked as well as his expression. You saw his cheeks redden quickly but within seconds the redness was gone as he did his best to hide his fluster.

"Gotta make up for all the years I didn't protect you" you sent a smile as you kept your hand on his cheek. In which he leaned his head into your hand more feeling the warmth of your hand against his cheek.

"There isn't a day that goes by where I am not thankful we crossed paths again." Silco spoke with a hint of happiness in the sentence. His hand reached up and placed it against yours that was still pressed against his cheek. His touch melted your body.

"I should let you sleep, it's nearing midnight" Silco spoke as if he stood up.

"Please stay" you insisted as your hand slid to grasp his. "Please" he said nothing but a simple nod as he watched you bounce on the end towards the pillows, moving the blanket on the top of the bed to slid under. Silco stood there for a few minute before actually getting into the bed with you. He awkwardly laid on his back slightly sat up. You took the opportunity to lay your head in his lap. Doing so, he raised his hand to stroke your hair. His other hand resting along your side. You both sat in silence, you just enjoying this time with Silco, surely it was the same for him.

You fell asleep not long after but silco stayed awake still stroking your hair and admiring your sleeping self. A smile crept on his lips curving the scar on the corner.

"You're perfect" he whispered closing his eyes and leaning his head back against the headboard slowly drifting off himself.
