"I can faintly hear the sound of someone calling
So I'm walking, I'm walking to you"

                                                                                                                      --Calling (Run To You), I-Land

Music and dancing nourished his mind and his soul. With the slow thrum of the music in his ears pulsing through his body and exhibiting its grace through his moves, Hoseok spun and landed gently on his feet. His arms stretched out in a wide arc, moving to the beat of the music when a peculiar sound coming from the corner of his room snapped him out of his reverie. Frowning, he paused and walked to the corner to take a closer look only to realize with horror that it was coming from the one door he'd rather remain locked at all times.

On the day he had moved into his hotel room he had discovered a connecting door much to his dismay and had immediately taken care to thoroughly lock it shut in every possible way.

Now he stood there watching all his hard work go to vain as the door smoothly swung open to reveal his gleeful neighbor standing by the door, looking astonished herself.

"It worked!" Sia cried, delightedly.

"W-what the! How did you open it?" Hoseok sputtered in disbelief.

Sia's feral eyes raked over the whole room before it finally fell on him and a wild smile split across her face, "Seokie!"

She opened her arms wide and ran straight for him but Hoseok easily slid out of her path before she could collide with him and she breezed straight past him to his bedroom and jumped on top of his bed. "Whoo!"

"H-hey! Get out of there! How did you even open the door?!" He cried, walking into the room after her.

"I can open any doors for you, Seokie~" Sia batted her eyelashes at him. Suffice to say, he was utterly disgusted. Noticing his expression, she huffed, "It's true! It's a part of my powers!"

Hoseok breathed out a sigh of suffering. Curse the one who made her his messenger! Whyever did they think it was such a bright idea? Closing his eyes to calm himself, he gritted out.

"Winters, get out of my bed."

"Why? I quite like it here," she answered cheekily and he lost it.

"I don't care, go back to your room."

"No, thanks." Hoseok's jaw hung open at her reply. The audacity!

He contained himself, breathing in deep to maintain his control. Then an idea struck him. Looking straight into her eyes, he commanded, "Sia Winters. Heed my word. Go back to your room and never look back at that connecting door again. Go."

Hoseok watched in satisfaction as her eyes glazed over and his power prodded her to follow his orders. She slowly made to get up from the mattress and walk away but to his bafflement she suddenly paused and a devious smirk spread across her lips. "Bish, you thought!"

Right. The little vixen had some kind of protection against his powers. They never worked for long on her. Clenching his jaws, he breathed out warningly. "Winters, seriously, this your last warning before I drag you out of there. Go back to your room."

Sia stuck out her tongue at him. "Oh, please. You won't even touch me. You're too afraid to do that."

He halted. How did she figure that out?

It was partially true. Hoseok did detest her power of physical touch. Because he didn't like the way it changed him. He didn't like the way it made him naive or reckless or just ridiculously optimistic. His real self, he had figured, was too trusting. Too uncaring of the future and so not afraid to let anyone in when he should be wary of everyone trying to get close to him. Humans were not to be trusted and even when he knew that, his real self or rather naive self wouldn't listen to that. He despised it. Even if it ultimately made him feel like himself.
