Sia froze mid-way. Hoseok was livid and if one didn't see it in his eyes, they certainly felt it in the scorching heat of his tremendous aura. People were glancing their way at the sudden commotion and some of them seemed to feel the intensity of the heat. But Sia could only watch as memories of the other night flashed through her mind. A flash of a pair of cold eyes doused in boredom. The feel of someone's slimy hands on her skin. The helplessness as she watched the only person she thought would help stood there and watched her...
But the Hoseok she knew was different. The Vile One was not him. If anything the fury in his eyes was enough to let her know that. But it was dangerous. If Hoseok continued to use his powers, she couldn't promise what happened with the faes wouldn't repeat again. She had to stop him before he lost control.
"Seok, stop! Leave him—" Sia tried to pull them apart but the intense heat burned her skin, "Oww!" She tried again, "Hoseok, let him go. I SAID, LET HIM GO!"
Hoseok blinked out of his reverie in shock as she pushed him off the stranger but the anger in his eyes hadn't gone. Sia turned to the stranger herself who seemed to be enjoying himself as he took in the scene. She stopped right in front of him.
"Yo! You want to rough me up? Try! Try if you've got the b@lls, nasty m***erf**ker!" She shoved the guy's shoulders as she challenged him, making him stumble back. She was testing her luck but the adrenaline made it hard to care. "I'm right here, sleazeball! Go ahead! Why aren't you saying anything now? Cat got your tongue?"
The guy only watched her in utmost interest as she pushed him back, ready to throw hands if it amounted to that but oddly enough, he didn't try anything. Sia glowered up into his face, "That's what I thought."
She spat on the ground before she whirled around and stalked off. "Come on, Seok."
She was about to grab hold of Hoseok and get the hell out of there when the stranger's voice spoke from behind.
"So it's true. The Vile One's gotta parasite on him now."
Sia froze and so did Hoseok as they gradually turned around to face the grinning stranger. The man began to chant, "I know what you seek, vile wizard and I know what the messenger does too."
His manic grin stretched wide, "You seek a defier of fate, the one who is immortal, the only one who may offer you the solution or the only one who may diminish your hopes. You seek the Great Sorcerer who awaits up there for your arrival. And the messenger shall lead you to what you seek for she knows where they are."
"If you've got something to say, say it right." Sia hissed, fists clenched in annoyance. "And if you can't speak properly, go back to school, loser."
The grin on the man's face turned to a scowl for the first time, "How dare you!" Calming himself down, he looked to Hoseok who was rendered speechless. "Keep seeking what you seek. This messenger annoys me."
That was the last of him they saw before he vanished right in front of their eyes. Sia's jaw hung open in shock as a realization struck her like a lightning bolt.
"Hoseok, that was..."
Hoseok stared at the empty space where moments ago the stranger stood as he breathed out, "A wizard."
____________
"Okay, okay, calm down. Don't think too hard and just relax."
"Seok he said I know. He said I can lead you but I don't know where it is!"
"Just calm down. We can figure something out. Don't panic."
