Hoseok narrowed his eyes as he eyed the building in front of him.

I should have known.

Sia exited an ice cream parlor named Strawberries arms laden with a bunch of her goodies, one stuck in her mouth as pushed open the glass doors with her elbow. She froze at the entrance when her eyes met Hoseok. After a momentary pause, she ignored his existence and walked straight past him to the nearest bunch, dumping her purchase as she took a seat beside them.

Hoseok walked up to her ready to give her a piece of his mind for scaring him, "Can't you let me know before you go somewhere?"

She didn't respond, focused on her ice cream bar. He huffed, "Winters, I'm talking to you. Why can't you at least write me a note? Don't you even care about other people who have to figure out where you went when you go missing? And why is your phone switched off?"

"It died," Sia replied simply, slurping on her ice cream with an air of great indifference. Oh, he was annoyed now, alright?

"Is that all you have to say to me? And here I was panicking, worrying if something happened to you for nothing!"

"Please. It's not like you really care about me or anything."

Speechless. That's what he was. He didn't care? Of course, he cared! But he wasn't going to admit that even if she held a gun to his head. So he sighed, rubbing his temple in frustration.

"Is this about what happened yesterday? Honest to god, Winters, I didn't mean to scare you like that. I thought you'd be fine since you know how to find me with your freaky ability." And suddenly remembering, he quickly added, "And I certainly didn't mean to see you crying."

The effect of his secret weapon was instantaneous as Sia reacted. Her eyes flashed and she growled, "I did not cry!"

"Okay, okay you didn't... c-word." He sputtered out feeling as endangered as a Dodo before it went extinct under her severe glare. He decided to avoid the subject since the look she was aiming at him was outright scary.

"Um, uh... is that your breakfast?" He asked, pointing to her bunch of goodies from the ice cream parlor. She was already on her fifth bar and he didn't know just how much more she was capable of ingesting.

Sia hummed out in confirmation, raising an eyebrow as if to challenge him to judge her. He looked away, trying to come up with something when her eyes fell on her arms. He narrowed his eyes as he walked up to her and crouched down in front of her. Mustering the most serious expression he could, he asked, "What exactly happened?"

He didn't fail to notice the way her eyes subtly widened in a sudden alarm and she averted them, tensing up at his question.

"What do you mean? Nothing happened."

Lie. He didn't have to look into her eyes to see if she was lying or not. It was obvious in the way she hesitated before answering or the discreet way she inched away from him to avoid him. He crouch-walked to the left to once more place himself right in front of her. Sia fidgeted in her seat under his scrutinizing gaze.

"Are you scared of me?" She jerked her head to him at the question, eyes as wide as saucers.

"What? No!"

Truth. If the indignant tone didn't convey it, her eyes certainly did. So it was not him. Hoseok breathed out a sigh of relief. "Alright."

Getting up from the ground, he patted down his shirt, "Come on then, let's go eat something that's an actual breakfast."
