I was sitting on the porch as the sunset relaxing. Day had been long and I wondered if I would see Alexis tonight. I sat up hearing howling. I sat for a second until I heard it again and stood up.
"Always fucking something." I muttered as I opened the door reaching above it and grabbing my rifle down. I cocked it and walked off. Heading through the barn the sound grew louder. I came upon the arena and saw Alexis running around laughing and whooping and hollering like a kid before falling in the dirt, not giving a shit about the dress she wore, totally carefree. My first thought was she was drunker than a fucking skunk. I laid my rifle against the fence as I glanced at her on her back in the dirt laughing and looking at the sky. She howled again as I walked up and laughed. "What in the fuck are you doing now?"
"My whole life I have never been alone on this ranch. 30 years. We're all alone, I could do anything, run around and ride horses naked. We could do anything we want."
"Baby, you've been doing whatever you want your whole damn life." I said looking at her
"But now I'm all alone with you and no one can see us. It's just us. I could take this off and go run naked through the field."
"I'll tell you what, why don't you run butt-ass naked through that field and I'll sit here in my jeans and I'll watch you do it, what do you say?"
"You know I'll fucking do it baby." I smiled at her, she wasn't wrong. Hell, I'd never object to seeing her naked. "Is there anything you ever wanted to do that you didn't do because everybody would watch you and question you? Only now it's a shot and you can do whatever your heart desires, only thing surrounding you is the stars and the night of life. That make sense."
"Honestly don't even know what you just said after asking me if there is anything I wanted to do, but um there is one thing, just uh, just stay right there." I said pointing at her. I walked off and turned on the arena lights and speaker as music played. I trend walking back over to her. I bent holding my hand out to her. She took it as I pulled her up and into my arms as I started dancing with her.
