He stared at the letter with mixed emotions. Questions he needed answers to. Re-reading the letter for any fouls but only his brother would end a letter with their clan name. It hurts, it really does. Their parents left him accounatble for Mandla and Mandla was selfish enough to bring more problems and expenses to his older brother. A letter he left in riddles...what was he supposed to do? Put the puzzles together? He rubs his head in frustration, kneeling towards his late brother's body. Unzipped the body bag one more time. There he was, lifeless, pale, peaceful. Chris could not fathom out the reason behind his death, almost can't take it. " Mandla why?" He whispers. He kneeled there before him for a good minute and slowly zipped the body bag closed.

He needed some air so he asked the officers to excuse him and he strolled towards his car. He refuses to believe his wife has any hand in his death...but is it out of his own will? He took out his rolled up blunt and lit it up with his specially designed firelighter. The only thing that made sense right now was his weed. His taxi business was slowly collapsing. He just lost his one and only brother, could his day get any worse? He is just grateful that he's last daughter got a scholarship for university and the other is working. One less thing to worry about.

A call disturbs his thoughts and he looks at the number with his eyes enlarged and congested with blood and he nonchalantly declined the call. She has been calling him for a while now and he has been ignoring her calls purposefully. The call persistently disturbs his peace and he answers the call in annoyance. "Makhosi." He says after a puff. "Menzi, abaphansi abajabulanga!" She snaps. "Ngobani?" He asks throwing his blunt to the ground.

"Ungabuyeli ekhaya ngaphandle kwaleyo ngane owayilahla nomzimba kaMandla siyezwana?" She shoots

"I don't understand..."

"I thought the collapsing of your taxies and the car accident your daughter got into was enough evidence that this is not normal, it's a spiritual warfare!" She exclaims. And he immediately turns sobber. "Zanele has done too much damage in this your son's brain." She mumbles to someone. She clicks her tounge and drops the call.

He stares at the dead line dumbfounded. Two people have mentioned Zanele's name today and it's giving him a headache. He decides to sleep at a hotel for the night. He needs a breather.

Zanele takes off her shoes and makes her way into MaSiswana's cottage house. MaSiswana chants and grunts knowing very well why she has come. Zanele met MaSiswana though an advertisement on Facebook. She was selling love portions and it has made Zanele's life a dream to live.

"Makhosi." Zanele recites.

"Yebo ntombi, ngingak'siza ngani?"

"Makhosi! UMandla..."

"Ngiyazi ntombi." She responds.

"What is the way forward?" She asks with her head bowed down in respect.

"Hayiii!" She grunts loudly.

"The damage is too much mntanam!" She says putting her bones in place.

Zanele raises her head and looks at her questionably.

"Way too much. Abaphansi abajabulanga!" She exclaims and insence burns intesely, causing Zanele to close her nostrils with her hand. "Leave and never come back! Heyiiii!" She grunts and chants, shaking uncontrollably. "Hamba!" She exclaims and Zanele grabs her shoes and runs out in fear.

Bridget's POV

I try to familiarize my surroundings and I see myself in front of Chris's father's swimming pool, barefoot. What am I doing here? "Hello?" I shout and it echoes. My eyes land on an innocent baby, sitting on the ground, drooling and laughing. Who in their right mind would leave an infant close to a swimming pool. There lies a bowl of blood next to the baby and I blink my eyes repeatedly in confusion. I try to move my legs so I can go towards the child but they just won't move. Like a strong hold is weighing me down onto the ground.
