"Dad? What are you doing here?" Perrie asked, unable to hide the surprise on her face.
"I've come to collect you." he said, glancing around the house, almost in disgust before turning back to his daughter. "We've moved back to the UK."
"What, around here?" Perrie replied in surprise. "Into the old house?"
"Yes. Get in the car, Theo and your sister are waiting." he said curtly, impatiently.
"But..." she was about to protest when Dillon's dad appeared around the corner.
"Can I help you?" He asked, eyeing the other man suspiciously.
Perrie jumped in before her dad could speak. "This is my dad, he...said he's moved back."
"That's right. For good." he confirmed.
"For good?!" Perrie repeated, flinching at her high pitch.
"Yes. Now get your things, Perrie and meet us in the car." her dad said sharply, motioning to the house.
Perrie reluctantly edged back into the main house, back through the dining room where Dillon, Elliot and Ruby were stood behind their chairs in anticipation.
"What was that about? Who's at the door?" Ruby asked.
"My dad." She groaned as she trudged towards her room.
She met Liam on the stairs; he was obviously coming down to see who was at the door. "Hey, what's going on?" he asked.
"Nothing."
She went straight past him and to her room, slamming her door in frustration.
But it was opened again shortly after by Dillon, who poked his head around the corner. "Are you okay? About your dad being back?"
"Yeah, I guess. Just seems like everyone else is leaving - Zoe, Kat, even Eric's gone now - and the one person who I didn't think would come back is here. And I can't believe he's making me move back to the old house."
"Surely you're glad to see your sister though, right?"
"I suppose."
"You think she'll join Phoenix? She's the same age as Liam."
"No. Not unless someone drags her there." Perrie murmured.
She packed a quick bag of clothes and some of her things before heading downstairs.
"I'll come back tomorrow to get some more stuff. See you then." She said to Dillon, mustering a half smile before reluctantly following her dad to the car.
He wasted no time in getting into business again - all that was ever on his mind was football, football and more football. "Now we're back I'm getting Theo to sign back for Hawkstone." he said; Perrie guessed this was the beginning of some sort of explanation as to why they were back, but of course it had something to do with Theo. "They're bound to take him back, especially now I'm back working for them." He continued.
"Why are you back? Why are you here?" Perrie shot back a little too aggressively.
"For god's sake, Perrie you're acting like me being here is ruining your life."
"I'm not. I'm just confused."
"Listen, I got offered a job back in Hawkstone, and it was too good an offer to pass up. That's all." he said, in a tone that suggested the conversation was over. And there was complete silence for the rest of the journey.

Perrie woke up in an unfamiliar bed in an unfamiliar house. She groaned as she heard Theo down in the kitchen with her dad, arguing - now that was strange. Theo was her dad's favourite child, that was just a fact - something that Perrie and her sister had got pretty used to by now.
As she got dressed, Perrie grabbed some breakfast and quickly brushed her teeth before picking up her football bag. She nearly got out the door when her dad called her name. She did consider pretending she didn't hear, but she decided against it as she walked back into the main house.
"Yes?" she said impatiently.
"Don't take that tone with me." he said. "Now listen, it's been three years since we've been here. Gaby barely remembers her way around, let alone having any friends."
"So, you want me to find her friends. The whole point about friends is that you can't force it, otherwise they won't like you?"
"That's not what i'm saying. Just take her down to that club of yours and introduce her to some people her own age."
"No!" Both Perrie and Gaby said at the same time, as Perrie noticed her sister emerge from the living room.
"Why should I have to spend the day with her?" Gaby said. "I'd rather go to a football game. And that'd be saying something."
Perrie sighed, knowing that a childhood of being in and out of football matches had somehow caused her sister to have a deep hatred for them now.
"Well I don't want you to come either, so..."
"Perrie, that's enough. Either you take your sister, or you can forget about going altogether." her dad snapped.
"Great."
