King Michael knocked twice before entering Rachel's chambers, she was brushing her hair and turned back a little shocked, "Is everything okay?"
King Michael sat on the edge of her bed, "I fear something may be wrong with me child"
Rachel stood from her dresser and approached, cautiously, after Liam's warning, "What do you mean?"
"I'm not sure I can explain it, but I feel like something is festering within me...Perhaps I am just coming down with something. You'd tell me if you noticed anything wrong...with me, wouldn't you?"
Rachel pursed her lips and nodded slowly
King Michael smiled his thanks
"My King, can't you pardon Queen Margaret now"
"She's been pardoned already; she chooses to stay there"
Rachel frowned, "I don't understand"
"Nor do I. Perhaps you can talk some sense into her. She won't listen to me"
Rachel nodded, "I'll go speak with her now", she frowned as a shiver ran down her spine, the room suddenly felt cold
King Michael frowned, "Did Liam tell you why he wasn't coming back or where he was going?"
Rachel shook her head, "I'm afraid not...but the matter of Chris"
King Michael stood up, "The matter of Chris has been settled. There will be no more discussion to it. His mistakes are already being fixed"
"What mistakes?"
"The Summers family for a start...I have it on good authority that they're back on earth realm. Won't be long before they're all rounded up and brought back here for their execution"
"Surely we're past all this now..."
King Michael silenced her with one look, Rachel stepped back, the chill in the room stronger now than it was a moment ago
"Please don't do this..."
"It is done, I've already sent through the new General of our Kingdom to get them"
"You've replaced Chris..."
"My dear, everyone can be replaced"
"You don't mean that"
King Michael chuckled, "The world is about to change, big things are coming. I don't have time for small problems like people who lack the vision and the worth to be a part of the new world order"
Rachel lowered her gaze, deeply shook at the words coming out of his mouth
King Michael walked to the door, taking the coldness of the room with him, "Margaret being pardoned will make no difference, she may as well enjoy whatever time she has left. Only the strong will be a part of the new world, the rest will be nothing more than dirt below our shoes", with that he left, and Rachel felt able to breathe again. She wasted no time; she needed Queen Margaret.
