Koti POV
Louis picked up his phone on the fourth ring, much to my delight. I wandered down the promenade, deciding to go and have a little wander to think things over before tonight, considering I needed to find some item of clothing that I could deem…. Nice.
“Sister.” Louis answered.
“Brother.”
“What’s up buttercup?”
“I need advice.”
I could just imagine Lou’s smug-ass grin on his face, knowing that I only ever came to him for advice when I had a date. Legit, like that’s the only thing I ask for proper advice on.
Otherwise I’m a freaking genius.
“On what missy?” He asked, feigning curiosity.
“What to wear for a date tonight.”
Louis whistled and then laughed. I scowled and imagined punching him via telephone. That thought made me feel a whole better.
“Who is the lucky lad that got a feisty lass like you to go on a date with him?” Louis teased.
“None of your business asshole.” I shot back.
“Well then I shall not help the lady in need.”
I groaned.
“Fuck you.”
“No thanks little sister.”
Tired of his teasing, I hung up. My brother is such a dim-witted ass and it does do my head in on a regular basis. I couldn’t call Lilli, because she was at work, but I didn’t want to give Louis the satisfaction of me actually needing him if I called him back. I had no idea who the hell to contact, and out of frustration, I kicked some sand up into the air.
“Whoa. Someone is in a shitty mood.” A familiar voice exclaimed. I turned around, expecting a fist fight (for some unknown and strange reason), when I discovered it was good old Maxi.
“Ah Maxi. My man.”
He looked at me uber confused.
“Yes?”
“I need some assistance.” I said, leaning on his shoulder.
“And what would that be Koti?”
“Do you see this beautiful Bondi beach, how the water reaches sky, where the friendly sharks try to eat the people, where gorgeous lifeguards hit on girls, where people almost die, but then again where you can get a good tan and-“
Maxi cut me off.
“Cut to the chase Koti.”
“Right. Sorry. Where was I?”
Maxi raised his eyebrows, and I giggled.
“I need help picking an outfit for a date tonight.”
“Oh. I don’t know how to help with that.”
“It’s easy. All you have to do is watch me try stuff on and whichever one turns you on is the right one.” I clarified with a shrug.
“I think Jesse would be more suited to that.”
Maxi winked.
My eyes widened.
He knows.
“Um why would you think that?”
Play it cool Koti. Play it cool.
He so doesn’t know.
