Chapter 8: I Guess I'm Not Normal Then

I felt totally incoherently positive about last night.

Lol jokes.

My stomach churned every time I thought of Jesse and what we’d done.

As I walked back to my apartment building, I dragged my feet and thought of calling back Louis.

If I called him back, what would he say?

Would he want me to come back home?

Just when I’d mastered and Australian accent and was finally improving life with some actual friends?

Just when I was starting to open up and get to know people?

I turned into my street, and immediately noticed something was off.

Even without my glasses, I could see that there was a strange black van of sorts sitting outside my apartment.

I would have called Lilli, but had conveniently left my phone at home in this morning rush to relieve my mind.

I quickly picked up my slow pace and walked hurriedly to the apartment building. I dumped my board and wetsuit near the hose so I could wash them off later and sprinted up the stairs as fast as I could.

Bad idea Koti.

Bad idea.

By the time I reached my door, I was about to pass out from hunger.

Oh and the Olympic sport I had just competed in.

I unlocked the door without knocking and rushed into the kitchen. Lilli was making tea and coffee, presumably for herself and Dean if he wasn’t working today.

So that was normal.

Until I saw the look on her face.

“Lilli, why is there a van parked outside?” I asked cautiously.

“Just… go… living room.” She said, still in what seemed like shock.

I stepped out of the kitchen and hesitantly walked down the hall towards the kitchen. I pitter-pattered towards the living room, and wavered in the doorway before opening it. Sitting on the couch was the one, the only…

Louis Tomlinson.

AKA my twin brother.

My eyes widened in shock and my jaw dropped. He grinned widely and stood up.

“Koti!” he said, walking over and engulfing me in a huge Louis hug.

I was about to melt into it like I used to, before I came back to reality and realised what the fuck was happening.

I pulled away from Louis and didn’t bother closing my jaw, standing there, gaping like a fish.

“It’s good to see you too sis.” He said, almost coldly.

“What are you doing here?” I inquired blandly. Louis’ smile faded.

“I came to see you again.”

“Why?”

Louis rolled his eyes, “It’s been like ten years Koti.”

“Six actually.” I corrected.

“Well, it’s been like SIX years.” He amended himself.

I lowered myself down onto the couch and eyed him warily.

“Why else are you here?” I asked.

“We’re on tour.”

“How did you find me?”
