Koti POV
Taco finally knocked on the door. I bit my lip nervously, and wandered over, extremely curious as to what he could have in store for us tonight. I was not a creative person, so my mind was buzzing with all the simple ideas, but I knew if Lilli thought it was going to be amazing, it probably would be ten times more incredible for me.
I opened the door, and Taco stood there wearing a nice shirt and long black pants. On his arm was a suit jacket, and I smiled.
“Hey,” I greeted.
“Hey,” he replied.
It was very awkward, and I was shocked. I am Koti, I am never awkward.
“So where are we going tonight?” I wondered. Taco smiled and held out his hand, and I took it happily, closing the front door behind me.
“It’s a surprise,” he answered mysteriously. I pouted.
“Can’t I at least get one clue?”
Taco chuckled.
“Sure.”
I stared at him with wide eyes, waiting for the clue, he giggled but didn’t say anything.
“Clue?” I asked, egging him for one.
“Nope. You can have one, but I’m not gonna give it to you,” He cackled evilly.
“You’re terrible,” I said with a laugh as we got into his car. Taco started up the engine, and typed an address into his Satnav. I tried to see what it was, but I didn’t have my glasses on.
Stupid Koti, what if he was taking you to a movie? How would you see then?
As I mentally hit myself in the face, Taco reversed out of the driveway and we were on our way to wherever we were actually going.
I felt like I should make small talk.
“So how was work?” I asked.
“Pretty good, didn’t really do much today,” he answered.
“Who was on?”
“Myself, new trainee Jethro, Jesse, Hoppo, Kerrbox and Mario.”
“Sounds good.”
That was the end of the small talk.
Taco turned into a lonely side street near the golf course, and parked the car. I was seriously beginning to wonder what was actually going on.
Was Taco a paedophile in disguise? Was he going to hurt me?
Nah. He couldn’t be. It’s Taco for crying out loud Koti.
We jumped out of the car and Taco took my hand, and began leading me towards the golf course.
“So today I was trying to think of ideas for the date with the boys,” he started. “And when Jesse proved no use-“
My eyes widened as he babbled on about choosing a place for the date. Taco had consulted Jesse, so Jesse must know that I have a date with him, and that’s why he texted me. He wanted to make the date the same night as what Taco and I were originally planning so he would make me choose!
Inky is a sly son of a bitch!
How dare he do that?!
“Koti?” Taco must have realised I’d gone off into my own little world.
“Oh sorry, just the golf course under the stars in beautiful Taco,” I said, managing to get myself out of the awkward situation.
“Yeh. Anyway, as I was saying, then Jethro had been singing High School Musical songs and I was reminded of when Gabriella and Troy have a cute date on the golf course. Not under the stars of course, but that’s when I made the idea my own.” He beamed, extremely proud of himself. I smiled and pecked his cheek.
