We arrived at the beach in time, and were given our colored vests. Louis had only brought Liam so that there wasn't too much of a spectacle about them going, and I stood on the beach warming up before my heat.
"You ready for your heat?" Taco said, suddenly appearing behind me. I jumped slightly.
"Nope," I admitted. "I'm seriously hoping that I have luck on my side today." I said grimly. Taco wrapped an arm around me.
"You'll be fine Koti," he said with a kind smile and a gentle kiss to my temple. "You'll smash it."
I blushed, and tried not to look at Jesse who was talking to Louis. I wondered what he was saying.
"Who's that?" Taco asked, gesturing to Jesse and Louis.
"That's my brother," I explained. "He's flown down from England with a friend for a while."
"What's his name?" Taco enquired.
"Louis."
"That's a nice name," Taco pulled me closer. "Koti and Louis. Are you guys twins?"
I nodded again. "Yep, but fraternal."
"So you were womb-mates?" Taco asked with a giggle.
I laughed loudly. "Yes Taco, we were in fact, womb-mates."
We laughed loudly, and Liam approached us.
"Hey Koti, what's going on?" He asked. I grinned.
"We were just discussing how Lou and I used to be womb-mates."
Liam cracked up. "The thought of you two living together for that amount of time is incredible."
Taco raised an eyebrow at me, wondering who this random was.
"Oh whoops, my bad. Taco, this is Liam, Liam, this is Taco," I did the formal introductions. "Li is a friend of Louis'."
"Hey mate. I thought so, from the accent and all," Taco said in a friendly tone.
"Is this your boyfriend Koti?" Liam asked, shaking Taco's hand back. My eyes widened and I looked at Taco.
Do I say yes?
I mean, after what happened the other night?
"Girls Heat 1 please make your way to sign in," A loud voice boomed over the speaker.
"Whoops got to go sorry."
I ran away, saved by my heat being called.
Time to win, or time to lose.
