Dan Flint story

Chapter 5

I was sat in Dan's den. Dan, just the thought of him made me cry even more and then there was my dad. What the hell is gonna happen next? What about my mum? What about my little brother? What about me? Should I tell them? This family has been through so much shit, was this the end? My dad had changed, he used to be my hero but it all changed when Sophie left. Sophie was my older sister, she was my best friend. She used to protect me but she just left. It was my dad's fault. I still speak to her but hardly ever, I miss her but she needed to go. She wasn't happy. My phone started vibrating it was Dan again. This was the 7th time. I answered it this time. ''Hello.'' I whispered ''Ellie, where are you?'' ''Out.'' he sighed. ''Ellie please we need to talk.'' I let out a cry. ''Dan please don't stop being my friend.'' ''Elle why would I do that?'' ''because you have a new girlfriend and I was a bitch to you.'' I tried to stop my tears but they wouldn't. ''Ellie, I don't have a girlfriend and you were upset.'' she's not his girlfriend? ''who's that girl you were with then?'' he laughed ''that was my sister!'' Oh god. ''oh.'' he was still laughing and eventually I started laughing. ''Come to mine Ellie.'' I was smiling. ''Okay, I'll be about 10 minutes.'' I hung up and started walking to Dan's. I got there and knocked on the door, a few second later Dan opened the door letting me in. He hugged me so tightly. ''Ellie, are you okay?'' he pulled out of the hug looking into my eyes. Those blue eyes got me every time. I nodded my head. ''have you spoken to your dad?'' I shook my head and tears were escaping my eyes again. ''don't cry.'' Dan said wiping my tears away. I looked up at him so our eyes were locking. His lips found mine, like they had once before. I wrapped my arms round his neck. I pulled away from him remembering what Dan had said to Josh before. ''what's wrong?'' Dan asked. ''I like you, I do and I want to kiss you.'' Dan looked confused. ''before in school, you said to Josh you liked a girl he didn't know.'' Dan sighed. ''It's you.'' okay now I'm confused. ''I just told Josh he didn't know them because he would know it was you.'' So he did like me and I liked him but he didn't want Josh or other people to know. ''is Josh not allowed to know?'' I asked. ''Josh can know, I just wanted to tell you before anyone else found out.'' I smiled, he really cared about me. I hugged him, he kissed my forehead. ''so, do you want to be my girlfriend?'' Dan asked with a cheeky but nervous grin. I nodded my head and kissed him. My phone rang. I broke the kiss and looked at my phone it was Sophie. ''Hello!'' I answered the phone so quickly. ''Hey, little sis.'' ''Sophie, I missed you.'' she laughed at my over enthusiasm. ''so I hear you guys moved to Surrey?'' ''Yes, I like it here Soph.'' ''That's good, so I'm kind of in Surrey right now.'' the smile on my face grew bigger. Dan placed his hands on my hips. ''come and see me then!'' ''I will do, text me your address?'' ''Oh..erm I'm not at home right now..Dad, he erm.'' I sighed. ''Elle what's he done?'' ''He's having an affair..'' she muttered something under her breath. ''Come meet me at Starbucks then?'' I managed to keep my tears in. ''Yes, I'll be about 15 minutes.'' I hung up the phone. ''Is everything okay?'' Dan asked. ''Yes, I need to go meet someone.'' ''who is it? do you want me to come with you?'' I smiled ''It's my sister, you know the one who moved away and you can come if you want.'' he smiled at me pulling me in, kissing me again. ''that's never gonna get old.'' he said pulling away grabbing his coat. I was still in my uniform, I didn't really care though cause Sophie was here! ''Where are you meeting her?'' ''Starbucks.'' he nodded his head as we headed out the door. Dans hand found mine and we walked into town to Starbucks. ''You'll love Sophie, she's great.'' he just smiled at me. The rest of the walk was silent, I was just embracing the fact that I had a boyfriend. Me and Matt, my old friend had kind of been together before but it didn't work out, we were better as friends so this was like my first proper relationship. The thought brought a smile to my face. ''I love your smile.'' Dan broke the silence and brought me out my thoughts. ''Thanks.'' I said laughing. ''yours isn't too bad either.'' I said paying back the compliment. We got to Starbucks and Sophie was sat inside. I walked in. ''Elizabeth!'' She stood up to hug me, I let go of Dan's hand to hug her back. ''I've missed you Soph.'' she gave me a I'm sorry smile. ''this is Dan.'' I pointed to the guy stood next to me. ''Hey, I'm Sophie.'' she smiled shaking his hand, he returned the smile. ''So Elle when did you find out about dad?'' she said whilst sitting back down, I pulled out a chair and so did Dan. ''It was erm today.'' Dan grabbed my hand like he knew it was hard for me to talk about this. ''Oh god, has he said anything to you.'' I shook my head. ''I told him I hated him and ran out.'' Dan squeezed my hand tighter. ''We need to go back there Elle, sort this out.'' I nodded, I didn't want to but I knew she was right. ''Have you got somewhere to stay tonight?'' I nodded. ''I'm staying at Dans.'' I smiled thinking about the fact we were together now. She nodded. She stood up. ''Ready for world war 3?'' she joked. I nodded preparing myself for all the shit that was about to happen. We left Starbuck and started walking home, me and Sophie caught up and Dan was holding my hand. I could tell he was bored. ''You can go if you want Dan?'' I suggested. ''No, It's fine. You need me and I'm here for you.'' I smiled hugging him before our lips locked again. ''Come on guys!'' Sophie shouted making us break the kiss and carry on walking.
