Chapter 8'

Ellie's POV

After giving Dan his towel back he went upstairs to get some clothes on, shame really but it left me with Josh. This meant I was going to have to explain a lot and then probably listen to him ranting about what he was gonna say to Abigail or what he was going to wear, we all knew Josh was a little camp at times. ''So Ellie, you and Dan aye?'' Josh said winking at me. ''Shut it Joshua.'' I blushed. ''No need to be like that baby.'' he pulled a cute little i'm sorry smile. Josh was becoming like a brother to me, I could speak to him about anything but then we'd still be able to take the piss out of each other. ''How'd it happen then Elle's?'' ''Well you remember me running out of school, I ran home. I got home to find my dad with another women.'' Josh gasped as I felt tears building up but I managed to hold them back. ''Dan called me, I was a mess and I heard someone in the background, a girl. I kind of went off on one and hung up. I was in a state but I couldn't go home so I went to this den in the woods that Dan took me to.'' I carried on with Josh nodding and occasionally saying yeah. ''Then Dan phoned me again and explained that the girl was just his sister so then I went round to his. We sorted the stuff out with my dad and then we came back here.'' I smiled. ''That's it?'' Josh looked annoyed. ''Of course.'' I said with a slight tone of sarcasm. ''Oh so there is more?'' I nodded. ''But that's for me and Dan to know and for you to, oh yeah NEVER FIND OUT!'' I winked at him and ran out the room with him chasing me. God I've done so much running round this morning. Dan came back through to the living room where Josh had just caught up to me. ''Josh put my girlfriend down!'' Josh moved away quickly. Guys were so weird, I wasn't going to stop being close with Josh cause I was falling in love with Dan. Yes, falling in love. I WAS IN LOVE, for the first time in my life. ''So you guys are offcial?'' Josh asked. Dan walked over to me a kissed me. ''Ew gross. I don't even want to know what I walked in on before.'' Josh continued but I was still lost in my kiss with Dan. Every kiss still left me breathless. I pulled away from Dan. ''Aw Joshy, you can always leave.'' I said before going back into kissing Dan. ''Guys come on we've got a party to sort out!'' I moved away from Dan. ''FIne Franceschi what do you need from me?'' I said as Dan snaked arm round my waist. 

‘’We need food!’’ Josh shouted. ‘’Okay so if we go get some food Dan can stay here and clean up?’’ I suggested. ‘’Sounds like a plan Ellie.’’ Josh said smiling and dragging me out the door. ‘’Bye Dan!’’ I shouted as the door slammed behind me. ‘’Sorry to pull you away from lover boy.’’ Josh said sticking his tongue out at me. ‘’So you should be.’’ I said cheekily with a grin plastered across my face. I was excited for this party, it was going to be good. We rushed to the bus stop and caught the next bus into town and headed to ASDA. Me and Josh ran round like crazy buying loads and loads of crap we wouldn’t really need, I loved that we were this close after only a few weeks. We spent £23.50 on stuff for the party, mostly crisps, sweets, chicken nuggets and Dr Pepper. What did you expect trusting a bunch of kids to do the shopping? As me and Josh walked out of ASDA I bumped into someone accidentally. ‘’I’m so sorry.’’ I looked up to see a familiar face. ‘’Oh hey, it doesn’t matter Elles.’’ I laughed. ‘’Still coming tonight?’’ Jonny asked. ‘’Yeah, just grabbing some food for Dan as we speak.’’ I smiled. ‘’Come on Ellie, Dan will be waiting.’’ Josh said almost angry at me. What had I done? ‘’Okay, see you later Jonny.’’ I waved before walking off with Josh, when I was far out of sight from Jonny I thought I’d interrogate Joshua. ‘’What’s up Joshwa?’’ I asked cutely. ‘’Nothing.’’ He spat. Oh okay then. ‘’We’ll miss the bus come on.’’ I tagged along behind him. What was wrong with him? I’d never seen him like this. We got on the bus and as I sat next to him he put his headphones in. I sat there in silence looking out the window, I knew mine and Josh’s friendship was too good to be true, without me realising tears were streaming down my face. ‘’Ellie, why are you crying?’’ Josh took a headphone out. ‘’It doesn’t matter.’’ I turned my head away whipping my tears. ‘’Is it because I was being pissy?’’ I looked at him and nodded my head. ‘’It’s not your fault.’’ He moved his hand to my shoulder giving me a sympathetic smile. ‘’It’s Jonny, I don’t trust him.’’ Whoa what? Jonny was a nice guy! ‘’Why?’’ I asked confused. ‘’He’s Abigail’s ex and he has a bit of reputation as a man slag.’’ I nodded my head, I knew this already. ‘’But if he’s not with Abigail anymore you should be happy right?’’ I asked. He shook his head like he wasn’t telling me everything. ‘’Josh? Is there something you’re not telling me?’’ He put his head in his hands. ‘’Just remember you’re with Dan now.’’ What was Josh implying that I was flirting with Jonny? I wouldn’t do that, I don’t like him I like Dan and Kelsey would stab me in the face if she found out. ‘’Josh, I don’t have any feelings for Jonny, he’s just a guy in school that I talk to.’’ He nodded. ‘’I trust you, just not him.’’ I wish he’d drop this already. ‘’Josh trust me then and know if Jonny tried anything I’d get myself away from him and find you or Dan.’’ I smiled at him bringing him round to the idea that Jonny wasn’t that bad. He put his arm round me. ‘’Sorry Ellie, I just care about you a lot and Dan.’’ I smiled at him. I understood and I loved the fact that he cared about me.

Ellie’s POV

The house was full, more and more people were arriving. I was stood in the kitchen with Dan, Matt, Holly, Josh and Abigail. Jonny walked over with Kelsey. ‘’Hey guys.’’ He said. ‘’Hey man, how’s it going?’’ Dan said. Josh was going red. I looked at him with a ‘leave it’ stare and he soon calmed down. I think Abigail was really good for him, he seemed really happy and so did she. Eventually the two walked off for some privacy, bless. Matt and Holly soon did the same. Kelsey walked off to get a drink leaving me, Dan and Jonny. ‘’How do you put up with Kelsey man?’’ Dan asked Jonny, I hit him on the chest. ‘’she’s not that bad Dan.’’ I said. ‘’But she’s like obsessed with Jonny.’’ He said. ‘’She’s not obsessed, she’s just got a crush I think.’’ Jonny said. ‘’I’d tell her to back off if I were you.’’ Dan said. Dan walked off to go the toilet. ‘’Ignore Dan, If you like Kelsey then you stay with her.’’ I said smiling at Jonny. He moved closer making me feel a little more awkward between us. ‘’I don’t want Kelsey.’’ He said slowly and clearly making sure I heard him properly. Right now the only thing that was going through my head was what Josh was saying to me. I didn’t want Jonny; he kept moving closer and closer. ‘’I need to tell you something, something I haven’t told anybody.’’ Oh know what was coming. ‘’I feel like I can trust you.’’ He said smiling. Why? We weren’t even close. Friends, maybe but not like close friends. ‘’Okay..’’ I said trailing off showing the concern in my voice. ‘’Ellie, I’m gay.’’ WHAT? I WASN’T EXPECTING THAT AT ALL. Kelsey walked back over. ‘’Why are you two alone?’’ Oh god, she’d completely gotten the wrong idea. She was so protective over someone who didn’t even want her great. ‘’Dan just went the bathroom.’’ I said, wishing he would come save me from this situation. DANIEL WHERE ARE YOU?
