A/N – In my head I picture this scene similar to the one in Black Widow when we first see Yelena, and her at Nat are in perfect sync, feel free to picture this scene like that. : )

Narrators POV:

....there's someone here.....

Ziva is visibly more attentive to her surrounding, going from emotional to focused in the blink of an eye. She rounds the corner with her knife drawn, no gun, but she still carries a weapon. So far the intruder has not shown his or her face, giving no hint to their threat level. She clears the bathroom, the laundry room, the kitchen, the dining room, the last room is the study. She takes a deep breath as she's pressed against the wall, and turns into the doorway.

On the opposite side of the wall, a woman is doing the exact same thing, knife drawn, glued against the wall and ready to fight.

They turn into the doorway at the exact same time and come face to face, they disarm their opponent at the exact same time, in the exact same way, then turn to face each other and that's when they realize who just copied their moves exactly.

"Ziva, thank goodness this is the right house!!!! I didn't know if you'd moved since you were in Mossad."

"Mossad, you're........ Elaina right?"

"Yeah, that's me I guess you remember the girl who was always second behind you in every test and evaluation they ever did."

"Yeah I do, but why are you looking for me now?"

"Well, I was honestly trying to forget my past and move on, but I guess it caught up to me and I really wanted to see if you were still around."

"Yeah, I moved away for quite awhile, but the past didn't stay in the past and I came back to... figure things out I guess."

This is the first time Ziva verbally tells someone what she's trying to do, other than Tony, who figured it out with her, so she was nervous to see their reaction. Especially someone who has gone through much of the same treatment.

"I guess that's what I am trying to do, although it's not working out the best at the moment, every time I seem to make up some ground, something else comes flying at me and shoves me back." Elaina too had been working through things on her own and never voiced her struggles to anyone.

"I was doing this alone, but I'd love to catch up with you later, maybe I could help you out?"

"Sounds great, tomorrow for lunch at the run-down café?"

"Sure, see you then."

Elaina lets herself out, seeing as she let herself in, and Ziva, crashes on the couch, the findings of the day catching up to her, and letting it out now that the "intruder" wasn't a danger. Elaina leaves the house, excited to finally reconnect with Ziva, and that she too was working through her demons from their shared past. Ziva inside, thinks about how much she should share with Elaina seeing as she didn't allow Tony in too far past her walls.

Maybe someone who has been there with her could be the one to break through the walls.

A/N - - And so you've met Elaina, my OC, hope you like where she's been placed in this story, and thank you so much for reading! Just for pronunciation sake I pronounce Elaina's name as "e-lane-ah."
