CHAPTER 10 - Your American Dream

Narrator POV:

Now that Ziva and Elaina know they can lean on each other, they've talked about more than just Mossad's twisted tactics and mental destruction, they can talk about life, past, present and future. After a few weeks of enjoyment, discussions, healing, and pregnancy appointments for the now 4 months along Ziva, Elaina decided to ask the question she's been wanting the answer to.

"Okay, I know you may not want to answer this, but it's killing me, I've been able to keep my mouth shut for awhile, but I really want to know –"

"Geez Elaina, just say what you are trying to say."

"Do you know who the father is?"

"Of my baby?"

"Of my baby?"

"No... of your teddy bear, yeah your baby." Elaina says trying to lighten the mood.

"Yes I do, someone who would have said something exactly like that."

"Can I know the name??" Elaina asks slightly fishing for information.

"No." Ziva says, knowing that Elaina was not going to let it go that easily, seeing how far Elaina would go.

"Come on why, not? It's not like I'm going to tell him or anything, wait do I even know him?"

"No you don't know him."

"Oooh so he's a guy you met in America; your American Dream maybe?"

Ziva smiles to herself, remembering the time Tony described himself as the American dream in the bullpen. Wow, Elaina and Tony would get along great!

"Maybe."

"Ziva!!! Come on I want to know who I'll have to beat up if he doesn't help you with the baby."

"That won't be necessary, he won't know about the baby."

"Wait, you're not going to tell him?"

"No, I have never needed a man in my life, and having a baby doesn't change that."

"Okay I get that, you know I do, but that doesn't change the fact that I want to knowwwww."

"Fine.... My old partner at NCIS."

"McGee is totally not your type, so Tony?!?!?"

"Yes."

"Tony and Ziva, nice ring to it, better than Tim and Ziva."

"Now you know, are you going to stop bothering me now?"

"Hmmmmmm, nope!"

"Didn't think so."
