Chapter seven.

[Lin and Leah are awkward without Aiden]

"If a chapter bores you, that's not your fault.

You can go to the next chapter without feeling guilty.

Flip to the next page, please and thank you."

Nico didn't stay long at the Twenty-First Nome, but the time he did was worth its while.

He left to go to Camp Jupiter, to which Leah and the entire group sent their greetings. Apparently he had a sister that was still alive; Roman, so a child of Pluto, but the Greek and Roman deities were basically the same anyhow, so Leah saw them as siblings. She also sent her apologies to Frank that she'd laughed when he got scolded by Reyna.

"You're weird," Nico commented with a raise of his eyebrow. Leah nodded knowingly. "It's part of the demigod package, kid." "You're weirder than most." Aiden laughed. "Am I the normal to her weird?" Nico narrowed his eyes, then shook his head. "You're both very weird, but your weirdness cancels each other out." He saluted to them as he walked up to the shadow of a particular big oak tree. "See ya," he dryly said, and then he disappeared into the shadows.

Lin squinted at the tree. After a second, their eyes widened when they realized Nico had vanished. "He can teleport?" they asked disbelievingly. Leah nodded proudly. "Part of the Hades thing; shadow-travel." "That's a stupid name," Lin deadpanned, to which Leah shrugged. "You're not wrong."

"Meju!" Leah!

"What have you done to my Doritos!" she shouted at him, to which he blinked. What are doritos? he asked innocently. Leah narrowed her eyes at the dragon. "Oh you know what doritos are. You took them, didn't you?" He blinked again. The chips? She sighed frustratedly. "Yes, the chips. I know you ate them!" I'm allergic.

Leah huffed. "Oh of course, the great big immortal dragon is allergic to DORITOS?" He nodded sheepishly. I'm a carnivore, I do not have the digestive system for corn. Leah rolled her eyes. "You're a mythological creature, Meju," she stated dryly. "Don't you have some all-powerful digestive system?" She stopped dead. "We've been giving you food you can't eat and you haven't told us," she realized. She narrowed her eyes. "Where have you been getting your food?"

Around, he said vaguely. "Meju," Leah warned. Around, he repeated, to which she sighed. "Well, tell me if you need anything to eat, Meju," she said. "I'm gonna go down." He nodded at her words. Goodbye, Leah. "G'bye."

"You're kicking us out?"

Carter shook his head. "No, we're letting you go." He got up from his seat and took the posture of a lecturer. "We said we wouldn't let you go until you were ready, and as I see it, you are. You can communicate with the dragon and he doesn't want to kill you, correct?"

Leah sighed. "Well yes, but you have a nice place," she whined. Sadie rolled her eyes. "You're only staying because we have the money to cover up Ismeju setting fire to things." Leah pointed at her excitedly. "Exactly!" She then turned to Carter, but Aiden was ahead of her. "If Ismeju is setting fire to parks, he isn't stable!" "If that isn't stable, I'd never be able to let you leave," Carter deadpanned. "You're not stable." Lin raised an eyebrow. "Fair."

"But I mean, you're not wrong. Elena's probably stressed out of her mind at the moment," Lin reasoned. "And I'd like to get back to the Good Dragon." Sadie blinked. "You have a good dragon?" "Rebellion," Aiden explained. "But we could go now, I mean, we've done all we need to here. Flower girl?"
