Mother looks at father with the "really?"look.

-they have agreed to fight for our daugter's hand

This makes my knees go weak. I can't take it so i storm into the room.

-they have what?
-Christina, is this a way to enter a room?
-not now mother
-you are going to make me marry someone?
-this is for your own good
-you don't know what's good for me

I stare at them in desbelief.

-what happened with me choosing my own future?

I again look in their faces. Only this time they are not filled with joy and love. But they are stone cold instead. I can't even recognise my own parents anymore. Not being able to take this anymore i run out the room. I din't go to my room, but to the horse stables to calm myself down. I sit down on the cold cement, put my face between my knees and cry.

-are you ok?

I look up to see Alex.

-what do you want?
-i was just walking past and heard you cry
-i'm fine
-i can see that you're not

He sits down next to me.

-tell me what's wrong

I raise my head up so that he could hear me.

-i just found out that my parents are arranging my wedding
-with who?
-i don't know yet, those people are going to have to fight for my hand

After saying that i start crying even more.

-hey, look at me

He takes me by my chin and makes me look at him. I look at him with my red and puffy eyes.

-you are not going to marry anyone
-how can you be so sure about that?
-i give you my word, i will do anything to prevent you from getting married

He hugs me.

-how about horse ride to cheer you up?
-it's too dark to go to the forest
-i didn't say anything about the forest

He stands up. Hands out his hand and says.

-come

I take his hand and get up. After few minutes we are on our horses.

-now just follow me, ok?

I nod. And follown wherever Alex is taking me. Sometime passes and we stop in the middle of the field. There is a tower. Alex gets off his horse.

-we are stopping here?
-yes
-what are we gonna do in here?
-just come, i'll show you something

I get off the horse. He starts climbing up the tower.

-up there? Are you crazy?
-come, it's going to be fine
-i'm not going up there
-it'll be fine, i promise

I think about it for a minute.

-fine, but if something happens to me, i'll kill you
