We've been in Colorado for a few days now and I've been enjoying every second of being around Jennifer. We had just got back from shopping, she needed some warmer clothes while we're here. She was currently on the phone with her parents while I put all of our things away.

"Mom, Emily is feeding me, please tell her you're feeding me"

"I'm feeding her Susan!" I chuckle and go back to the clothes as I listen to Jake tell Jennifer about his fishing trip he recently took. They eventually hang up and she lays back sighing.

"You okay?" I ask walking over to her, I straddle her legs and rub my hands up and down her stomach.

"Yeah, just a lot to get used to I guess. Everything is still fresh in my mind even though it happened a month ago. Are you okay? I haven't even asked you that" she sits up and scoots back against the headboard. I sat in her lap. I distract myself with her necklace.

"If we were being honest, no. I thought I lost you.. I didn't know if you would ever remember what we have. It felt like I lost a part of me and I know that sounds silly but you're so special to me Jennifer. I felt so helpless when you were gone, I didn't know what to do then to see you look at me the way you did, it broke me. I love you so much Jennifer and I would do ANYTHING to make sure you remember me forever and a day" she grabs my face and looks into my eyes.

"Marry me" she says.

"What?" I swallow hard as my heart rate speeds up.

"Marry me and I know it sounds crazy and probably too fast but I've loved you since I first met you and thinking back on everything that happened, it's a miracle that I remember you. I don't want to be without you Emily. I always want you beside me in this fucked up world." She wipes the tears that roll down my cheeks as I nod my head.

"Okay, I'll marry you. I love you so much Jennifer, God, this so fucking crazy. When do you want to do it?"

"Tomorrow, we can go to the courthouse"

"You're serious aren't you?"

"Dead ass serious. We can go get rings before we go and everything. I want you to have my last name" I smile at her and grab her face, pulling her into a kiss.

"Let's do it"

We got up that morning around 9:30 to get our day started. I started off by making us breakfast, which we ate outside around the small fire pit the apartment had on each balcony. It was a fake fire but the heat was real. We had found the rings we wanted online actually and put an order in for them, separately, of course. We were getting married at 5pm. There's a few upsides to my last name being Prentiss, I can get things to move rather quickly if you wanna say. Our marriage license was already at the courthouse and luckily, they had a time available.
