The air was humid. But cold. It felt like waking up in a hot fever dream, but your toes are numb. You could see the moon, shining across all of the under-city. The soft green lights made the run down buildings glow.
They have been running for about 5 minutes, jumping on and off buildings, in fear that Silcos goons knew they were there. "Where do we go from here?" Lilith said out of breath to Vi. Vi responded, trying to catch her breath, she was in a squatting position. "I know somewhere we can go." Vi said picking herself up. "Let's go." Vi cued Lilith to start running again.
It was obvious to Lilith that Vi was discouraged. She hated backing up from a fight. Even ones she knows she can't win. Lilith sighed knowing it was best, but was also concerned, *Is Vi mad at me?* Lilith thought, then continued to run with Vi, wherever she was leading her.
After a while they make it to the Brothel. "Woah Vi what are you implying?" Lilith picked on Vi. Vi faintly chuckled and walked in, in front of Lilith. "Okay but actually why are we here?" Lilith asked.
As they walked into the Brothel, Lilith was greeted by multiple people of all backgrounds. "Piss off." Vi said to one who was trying to flirt with Lilith. Though Vi would never admit it, the attention did make her jealous. She has definitely physically changed in the last 8 years, other than the trauma, her snarky personality stayed. Which took Vi back to her childhood.
Lilith could clearly see the jealousy but didn't mind. They were walking curtain, to curtain. "Okay Vi, what the hell are we looking for?" Lilith stoped Vi. "We are looking for a friend, maybe she can help us with our situation." Vi said, only shifting her head to the side in response, but keeping her body forward. (this incase you're confused lol.)

- - They walk past a few more curtains, when they see Caitlyn flirting with a girl. "C'mon, get up we have to go." Vi said to Caitlyn. Caitlyn kissed the girls hand and said "It was very nice meeting you." And stood up and walked out of the room.
Lilith was distracted looking at the girl Caitlyn was flirting with. Lilith made eyes at the girl, Vi just shoved Lilith along gently and rolled her eyes.
Lilith stepped out of the Brothel before Vi did. Lilith turned around to see Caitlyn and Liliths face immediately dropped.
"Vi! Get out here right now." Lilith turned to Vi who was taking her precious time to step outside. "Vi why is there an enforcer here." Lilith says signaling to Caitlyn, who looks equally angry. "When you said you were going to take sometime to visit the Lanes you failed to mention you where going to bring back street trash." Caitlyn yelled to Vi.
Lilith took out her knife and gripped it in her hands, not breaking eye contact with Caitlyn. "Do you know nothing Caitlyn? How could you say something like that you don't even know her." Vi said as she got in Caitlyns face. "And you Lilly, she's not technically an enforcer she kinda got fired." Vi reassured Lilith.
"Caitlyn, we went to the last drop and we got caught by Silcos goons. We aren't safe down here." Vi told Caitlyn. "-And you need a place to stay." She thought for a few seconds, contemplating if she should let someone like Lilith in her house. "Fine. Fine, we can go to my house, but only if you two get washed up, I'll ask my Mum about it." Caitlyn sighed. "Let's go. It's getting late."
In Silco's Office
"Oh, back so soon?" Silco cues Jinx to the chair in front of him. "Sit down, you-look discouraged." Silco says as he crosses his fingers and rests his elbows on his desk.
Jinx sits on the chair upside down with her legs on the head of it. "I didn't find them, when Sevika told me they where there-they ran. I think the girl had a black shirt, and some waist bandages." Jinx sighs while playing with one of her bombs like a plane.
Silco thinks for a second. "Do you think she's a threat?" Silco asks. "Well I don't know, but it's weird that Vi is keeping her so close y'know?" Jinx says with slight anger in her voice. "Don't do anything impulsive, Jinx. "I woonn't! I won't." Jinx giggles. Silco stands up, and says "I'll send some people to search the lanes, maybe we'll find them." Silco reassured as he walked out of the room.
The Kiramman House
"Mum please! They're practically homeless!" Caitlyn says while flaring her arms. "Caitlyn! They are criminals. Aren't they both from StillWater?!" Mrs. Kiramman whisper yells. "But Mum, it's only for a few nights, just until I help them get sorted out." Caitlyn says eagerly. Mrs. Kiramman holds Caitlyns face in her hands. "You're always so thoughtful, Cait." She inhales and continues, "Fine but-only for a couple of nights. If they become a problem, they're back home, on the streets."
"Well, guys, my Mum said you could stay for a bit." Caitlyn smiles. "Thank you Cait, this really means a lot." Vi said while playfully punching Caitlyns shoulder. Lilith stayed very quiet, for she did not like the idea of being in an enforcers home let alone a councilors house.
"Right, allow me to show you to your rooms." Caitlyn led Vi to her room. It was beautiful, a queen-sized bed, gold embroidery everywhere, windows, and a beautifully set up desk space. "Damn, you have a fancy ass house." Vi said as she plopped herself on the bed.
Lilith chuckled as she jumped on the opposite side of the bed. "Uhm, actually Lilly, your room is down the hall." Caitlyn said while glaring at Lilith. She got up off the bed and walked through the door which Caitlyn was leaning on. "You call me Lilith." Lilith said as she walked to the room she was guided to. It was a very nice room, with a fully finished closet. "I hope you'll be comfortable with your temporary stay." Caitlyn said in a rude tone, as she rolled her eyes and walked out.
Vi walked into Liliths room. "I'm sorry, she wasn't acting like this before." Vi said while sitting on the bed. "She's probably just intimidated." Lilith said while setting her head on Vi's lap. Lilith looked up and started playing with Vi's pink hair. "I missed you Violet." Lilith said while twirling Vi's hair around her finger. Vi grabbed onto her hand and pulled it to her cheek.
"Ahem. Dinners ready." Caitlyn barged into the room. Lilith stood up and exited the room making sure to glare at Caitlyn on the way out. Vi stood seated looking forward. "Are you coming?" Caitlyn smiled. Vi stood up and they all went downstairs to eat dinner.
20 Minutes later.
"Mmm, thank you Mrs. Kiramman, it was delicious." Lilith said while standing up. "But I am exhausted, so i'm going to go to bed." Lilith leaves the dining room. "Uh yeah, me too-uhm thanks for the food and bed and yeah." Vi then quickly followed behind Lilith.
"Hey, hey, are you okay with sleeping in this room?" Vi asked Lilith. But it was obvious Vi was the one who wasn't okay with sleeping in the room. Lilith noticed, but didn't want to make it weird, incase she was wrong. "Yeah, i'm great with sleeping in a councilors house." Lilith looked to the ground. "Goodnight, Violet." Lilith smiled to Vi and walked away to her room.
