Suzy lay across the couch. The past 24 hours had been crazy hectic; they had driven straight to the airport, bought tickets, boarded a 3-hour flight, then managed to get a hotel.

It felt as if someone was repeatedly dropping a fridge onto Suzy's head. Her headache was so strong not even Dr Bear's medicine could help her!

Gerald and Emily were down in the restaurant on the lowest level, getting her food.

A loud ringing noise interrupted her pity-wallowing session, and she grabbed her phone. She blinked, her headache miraculously disappeared as she saw the caller id. It was her dad!

"Hey dad?" She said as she answered the phone.

"Hello, Suzy." A cool, terrifying voice came from the other end. It was the Jackal!

"I'm Jackal, James Jackal." He continued.

Suzy got so panicked she hung up on him. In aftersight, it was a smart move; he couldn't threaten her if he wasn't on the phone with her!

The phone rang again. It was James again.

She sighed, answering the call. In aftersight, this was really idiotic.

"I have your father," James taunted.

Suzy's blood ran cold, like someone had poured an entire glacier into her veins.

"No you don't," Suzy whispered. Wishful thinking.

Suddenly her father's voice called from the other side. "Suzy? Suzy is that you? Suzy where are you?" It grew more and more panicked.

"DAD!" Suzy cried, before covering her mouth and glancing around suspiciously.

"If you want him alive in one piece, you'll come to [REDACTED ADDRESS FOR VIEWER SAFETY] and hand yourself over. You may not tell anyone else," he commanded.

Suddenly, she could hear footsteps outside. Gerald and Emily.

"Alright," she muttered into the phone, hanging up and jumping out the window.

Suzy now knows that what she did was really stupid, but cut her a bit of slack (only a bit), she had been awake for over 24 hours (despite the fact that she could have slept, but she's not the brightest oh well).

It was really lucky that they were only on the third floor, and there was a pool quite conveniently placed under the window, and that she had jumped feet first. It was a miracle that she didn't shatter her feet from impact.

She pulled herself out of the pool, spluttering and spitting pool water everywhere. Then she started running towards the road; she didn't want Gerald or Emily finding her! He'd then kill her dad.

She took a stack of soaked $100 bills out of her pocket. There were ten. Wow, she was rich. She pulled them apart; it would have to do.

She flagged down a taxi, hopping into the back. The driver turned around and...

IT WAS JAMES!

haha Just Kidding, it was just a Jackal that looked like James.

"[REDACTED ADDRESS], please," Suzy told the driver, handing him the stack.

He gave her a sour look as he took the dripping wet money, not even bothering to give her change.

Suzy slumped against the back, finally sleeping throughout the hour long trip.

The parking of the taxi jolted her awake, and she glanced outside to see her old ballet studio. She nodded at the driver, jumping out.

The cool night air bit at her sting, and she hurried inside.

"Hello?" She murmured.

"Suzy? Suzy is that you? Suzy where are you?" Her father called out. She ran forward, before seeing the tv that was playing the tape of her father when she was 2 and was swimming at the pool and got lost.

"How predictable, and gullible," James snickered from behind her. Suzy spun around, fear in her veins. Oh no, she was in deeper trouble.

Freddy scowled at Laurent Leopard. They were currently in the Cullen living room.

"I'm sorry, I don't really know them that well. We just got together to travel south. I can't believe they'd do this..." He trailed off, looking apologetic. Freddy called it bs.

"It's alright," Mummy Fox murmured, looking sad.

Suddenly, the door banged open and Mr Elephant ran in.

"I've looked everywhere," he muttered.

"Couldn't find her?" Laurent raised an eyebrow.

Mr Elephant sighed and nodded.

"Don't be too harsh on yourself. When she wants too, Victoria Vampire can disappear without trace."

Dammit.

The phone rang, and Candy picked it up. "Hi, Emily. What's wrong?"

Panic bloomed in Freddy's dead chest.

Candy looked downright murderous as she glanced at Freddy. "The mortal's disappeared!"
