Alex POV
I walk home, I hear the birds in the trees and the soft breeze through my hair. I walk up to the driveway and see Addi running out the door and into my arms. "Alex! Ice Cream!" I pick her up and laugh while I carry her inside. "Alex! your home!" My mom says "Yeah, I promised little one that I would take her out to Ice cream is that okay?"
"Of course. Don't forget to pack tonight. You're going to your Mom's house this weekend."
"I know, I promise I won't forget." I take Addi out for our ice cream date then took her home and put her to bed. I pack my Bags slightly worried about what tomorrow would bring.
I wake up to Arianna shaking me. "Alex, we need to go." I nod my head and look at the clock 8 am. I roll out of bed and grab my bag. We get in Dad's car and he starts driving down the street. "Alex."
"Yes, Dad?"
"Remember, be nice to your brother."
"Brother?"
"Yes, your brother. He's coming to live with us after this weekend, your mom is moving and he doesn't want to transfer schools so he's gonna have to come live with us. Alex your gonna need to share your room."
"What! I have to share my room!"
"MOM'S MOVING!"
"Yes, she's only moving three hours away, you guys will still be able to see her." Arianna nods her head. We pull up to a house across town. "Alright guys, have fun, and don't forget to help your mother pack."
"We won't." We both roll our eyes. I get out of the car with my Bags and see the door open. I was not prepared for the face I saw on the other side. "Dad!" I see a familiar face run out of the house. He runs up and gives my dad a hug. "Ari!" He runs and gives her a hug too. He looks over at me. "Hi, Alex." He waves at me, I get a good look at his face. Nick."No hug for your big brother?" I ask questioningly "Since when do you like me? Or want anything to do with me? Dad told you in the car didn't he?"
"Yeah, but that's not why. I guess you could say I'm a new person now."
"Yeah, I don't trust it." He says walking away. 'New mission, get Nick to like me.' I follow him inside and see a little girl run up to me. "Alex!" She yells as she jumps into my arms "Marissa!" I say tossing her into the air. She giggles as I catch her. My mom walks up and gives me a hug. "Isaac." She nods her head at my father. "Harper." He nods his head back. "I'll be back tomorrow with the trailer to get all of their stuff." He gives the three of us one more hug before heading out the door. "So, Mom what needs to be done?"
"Well, you three need to go clean your rooms and pack everything up because you three are moving out tomorrow night. With any spare time we have after packing, we can go do something fun together!" Most of the time at my Mom's house was spent packing up Me and Nick's room. My Dad returns the next night with the trailer and helps us load up. We put everything away and give Mom one final hug. Arianna climbs in the front seat of the truck with dad and Nick and I got stuck in the back seat. We pull away and I see Nick hang his head. I see a tear fall off his face. I unbuckle and slide into the middle seat. I try to lean Nick on my shoulder, he fights back for a second till he looks at me. He gives in and leans into my chest. I rub his shoulder and begin to whisper in his ear. "Hey, I know we've had our differences in the past, but I'm still your big brother and I will always Love you." He nods his head as he starts to relax. "I love you, Teddy."
"I love you too Tiger." He smiles up at me. I watch him start to fall asleep. You know what Reggie might be right about this whole nickname thing. It does feel pretty good.
