Reggie POV

I hear my alarm go off. I get up to walk across the room to shut it off and trip over something on my floor. "Owch!" I hear Luke grown. "Sorry, I forgot you were there," I say picking myself up off of the floor. "I bet you didn't trip over Julie when she spent the night in here." I glare at him for a minute, partially because I was exhausted, partially because I didn't want to deal with Luke at 6:45. Luke sits up and I shut off the Alarm. I walk over to my closet and grab clothes I don't even care what they are at this point as long as it's clothing. Luke groans getting himself up off the floor. "Why are we up at 6:45?"
"Because School starts at 8?"
"Again I ask why?"
"I share a bathroom with a brother and a sister and in case you didn't know one of them takes an eternity to get ready in the morning," I say throwing Clothes at Luke. "Get dressed. The bathroom is..."
"Last door next to Carlos' room, I know I've stayed here once or twice." He says as I roll my eyes. He walks out and I shut the door behind him so I can change. I walk out in a black t-shirt, jeans, and a flannel tied around my waist. I walk downstairs to find Julie and Carlos downstairs with Luke nowhere to be seen. "Good morning younger siblings," I say with a small smile Julie glares at me and rolls her eyes, Carlos just waves very focused on his eggs and bacon. "Where's dad?" I ask sitting down next to Julie. "He left a note, He said He needed to run a few errands. I made breakfast, we left some for you."
"Did you make enough for Luke too?"
"Luke?"
"Yeah, He's staying here? Didn't Dad tell you?"
"No... You're kidding right?"
"No," Carlos interjects with his mouth full of food. "I saw him when I was getting ready this morning."
"Julie, how did you not know? That's why Dad had you move your mattress out."
"I'm sorry my mind was a little preoccupied at that moment." She Sasses back. She picks up her plate and sets it in the sink. "Reg what time are we leaving?" I look up at the clock 7:05 "Well, I guess whenever Luke gets down here, hopefully sometime around 7:15." She nods her head and walks back upstairs. A few minutes later I see Luke come downstairs, "when you said one of your siblings took forever to get ready I thought you were talking about Julie!"
"Hey, Perfection takes time," Carlos says framing his face. I laugh and call for Julie to come back downstairs. I see her start to come downstairs, I turn and look at Luke. I see him start to smile a little bit. I snap in front of his face. He shakes his head switching his focus back to me. "Luke and I up front Littles in the back."
"I'm not that much younger than you," Julie says. "You're still younger though."
"Julie, you can have front, I'll sit in the back with Carlos."
"Really? Thanks, Luke"
"Yeah, no problem." He says giving her a small side hug. I keep my eyes locked on them the whole time. We all get in the car and drive Carlos to School. We drop him off and start to go to our school. As soon as we pull back in the street I hear Luke from the backseat. "Can we talk about what's going on?"
"What do you mean?" I ask "The fact I haven't been to school since I was in 10th grade?"
"What?" Julie asks "I dropped out, I never started my Junior year."
"Well... not dropped out, never showed up is a more accurate term. Didn't Alex homeschool you? At least the best he could given the circumstances."
"Yeah, that doesn't change the fact that I didn't exactly understand a lot of the information. We were using one set of school books for both of us, and Alex didn't always understand everything he was trying to teach." I nodded my head. "Check your bag, see if you have a schedule." I hear him open his bag and start to dig through. "I think, maybe?" He hands Julie a crumpled-up piece of paper. "Yeah, this is it. It looks like you're taking a few Junior classes, but several sophomore classes so you should be fine. Since you're living with us right now I can help you with some of
Your classes and I'm sure Reggie, and Dad can help with the rest."
"Yeah, worst-case scenario we call Alex to help," I say with a laugh. I see him roll his eyes at me in the rearview mirror. We pull into a parking spot. "Okay, kids we need to meet at the car right after school."
"We're not that much younger than you!" They both say getting out of the car. We all walk over to Alex who is standing by the entrance... with Nick? "Hey! Julie, Reggie! Come here!" We all walk over. "What am I chopped liver?" Luke says with a laugh. "Luke! I didn't see you pull up. Wait... Luke your at school." We all laugh a little bit. "Guys, this is my little brother Nick."
"Little brother?" Julie asks questioningly. "Nick I don't remember you mentioning anything about a brother?"
"Sorry, Molina. I guess it just never came up." He says with a shrug. We all go into school hoping that soon life will once again gain its sense of normalcy.
