4: The Girlfriends

Third Person POV

Kara entered her apartment with a huge smile. She didn't even notice the people standing in her apartment at first.

"Wait a minute.. Kara is that you?" Kara heard a familiar voice say.

"Maggie?" She replied, looking over at Maggie and Alex who were standing near her couch.

"It's been awhile.. I didn't know you were Kara's sister, Alex." Maggie said.

"I'm confused. Kara, a word." Alex grabbed her sisters arm and dragged her to the corner of the room.

"I thought you knew her as Supergirl, not Kara." Alex whispered, aggressively.

"Well, about that..." Kara shyly chuckled and dragged her sister back near Maggie.

"So, how do you two know each other?" Alex asked, crossing her arms and raising her eyebrows.

"Well.. Uhh.." Kara and Maggie said at the same time, giving each other an awkward glance.

"We may have had a little thing about a year and a half ago.." Maggie said.

"A little thing meaning.. Sex?" Alex asked. Kara and Maggie nodded slowly.

"Right.. That's not weird at all." Alex turned away from the two and rubbed her forehead.

"It meant like nothing, Alex. It was a long time ago." Kara reassured her.

"Yeah..." Maggie backed her up.

"It's just a.. It's a bit to take in.. It's kind of hard to know that you've seen my sister.. Naked.." Alex scrunched her face up.

"Listen, Alex.." Maggie grabbed both of her hands. "I know we've only been dating for like a week.. But I really like you and I hope this doesn't change anything. I can assure you that Kara and I don't have any romantic feelings for each other anymore."

"Yeah.. I know.. It's just a lot.. I think I need just a night to process.." Alex said, walking out of the apartment.

"So.. How was your date, Kara?" Maggie asked, awkwardly.

"It was nice.. I ran into my ex though.." Kara replied.

"Oh.. That must have been awkward." Maggie said.

"It was. She threw the promise ring I gave her down on the table and said a few rude things.. But my date was really nice about it and stood up for me." I smiled.

"That's good." Maggie paused. "I should get going though.. I'll see you soon." She waved and walked out of Kara's apartment.

"Well.. That wasn't how I wanted Alex to find out.." Kara mumbled to herself.

Alex Danvers' POV

My girlfriend has slept with my sister? My sister has slept with my girlfriend!? Jesus Christ. Could this day get any more complicated? You know what, I shouldn't have even thought that because I already know it could.

I stumbled into my apartment, feeling a little bit disoriented. That's definitely not what I expected to happen when they met.. Or met again I guess? And I'm just now realizing that I never asked Kara how her date went.. Oh well. I can save that for another day.

I think I may need a glass of wine.. Or maybe some shots? I'll just stick with a glass of wine.

I poured myself a large glass of wine and sat down on my couch. I turned on the television and it was on some cheesy romance show. I opted to change it to something more action filled. If I have learned anything today it's that relationships can be complicated and are usually nothing like the films.
