And with Valentine growing havoc across the Shadow world, Izzy and Alec weren't the only Lightwood siblings that seemed to have a relationship forbidden by the clave...
"Nathaniel, my second favorite Lightwood, I can summon the demon that has the girl's memories" Magnus spoke as he poured himself another drink, looking out for Mora, who had still to reappear.
She wouldn't approve of this, so he had to talk to Nate now.
The Lightwood perked up at his words, but arched an eyebrow in suspicion, noticing the slight nervous fidget in the mage step.
"Mora doesn't know, does she?" The middle Lightwood questioned, making Sparkle give him a warning glare as he shook his head, raising his hands in surrender. "I ain't doing it then, there must be a reason"
Magnus sighed loudly, attracting the attention of the oldest Lightwood, who walked up to them slowly with his usual frown attached to his face.
"What's going on here?"
Sparkle and Nate had a glaring contest, one challenging the other to say otherwise as Alec started to grow annoyed by their silent communication.
Truth was Magnus wanted to help Izzy and Nate because they were truly dear friends to him, thanks to Morgana, but he too knew the risks of summoning a demon like that just to find the cup.
Morgana was one of the believers that no species could have that kind of power, be it Shadowhunters or Seelies, she had even proposed to her queen to kill off everyone related to the Fairchild bloodline to make sure that the secret of the cup's location would die with them.
It was an option that was still being considered by the Seelie Queen, but Magnus wondered what would happened to his best friend's relationship if she were the one to kill the shadowhunters, which is why he had offered the option to help Nate.
However Nathaniel was, as always, too loyal to Morgana to even give a thought of going against her decision on the matter.
"I'm back..." Mora muttered quietly as she walked back in the room while giving Izzy a piggyback. "We should change location"
Magnus nodded with a grin, his hands sparkling with magic as he began to change their location.
"Izzy, my dear, the necklace looks much better on you than on me, you should keep it" Magnus said as he gave it to her.
The ravenette didn't leave Morgana's back as Magnus placed it around her neck, smiling gently as she gave him a bright smile, making Nate fake a pout, it was obviou who was the favorite Lightwood.
"I think it'd look better on me" Nate joked as he leaned closer to observe the jewel.
"Mora already gives you plenty jewelry, let me spoil your sister" Magnus replied with a knowing smirk, Seelies were known for wearing many jewelry after all.
"About Alec... is he more of a flower or a cologne man?" The warlock whispered to the women, making them snort with Mora shaking her head.
"Okay, so what can we do about the memory demon?" Clary interrupted, making Morgana place Izzy back on the ground as she placed herself slightly in front of the warlock.
He was her kin here. She would protect him with her life.
"We won't do anything" she wasn't lying, they could, they just wouldn't.
"What do you mean?" Clary hissed out raising her voice, making Morgana clench her jaw at the disrespect as she stared down at the girl.
"There is nothing we can do, Nada, Clary" Jace interrupted while rolling his eyes, standing up from his seat as he crossed his arms in front of his chest.
"Once the demon got your memories they were destroyed" Nate added since he could lie, covering up for his fiancée.
"We will have to find another way, I'm sorry Clary" Izzy continued, watching with fake sympathy as Clary's angry expression suddenly turned crestfallen.
She didn't see how the twins had placed their hands on Mora's back in reassurance, nor the smallest smile that had formed on Magnus face.
Perhaps the twins would choose them.
"Time to go, you've caused us enough problem already" Mora mumbled with a yawn.
"I'm going with you" Nate whispered as he interlocked their fingers together, making the brunette nod, turning to the female twin as she waited to see if she wanted to come as well.
"Me too!"
And Mora was once again carrying Izzy, making Nate chuckle at the sleep deprived state of his girlfriend carrying his twin sister.
"Iz, Mora will fall unconscious this way"
"But I want to go with Mora" Izzy pouted, burying her face on Mora's still wet hair from the recent shower as she smelled the scent of the flowers and wolves coming from the woman.
The seelie chuckled softly and wrapped her hands around the ravenette's tights, getting a better hold on her before she nodded "I'm fine, don't worry, love, we should get going though"
Nate nodded, kissing the side of her head, before he turned around and waved at his family and the intruder with orange hair, who were watching the scene with different kinds of reactions, before they disappeared into a dark mist that was made by Morgana's powers.
"Don't call us!" The twins yelled simultaneously as they disappeared.
"Why do suddenly I feel like I've lost my siblings?" Alec suddenly questioned as he looked at the empty space that his siblings once were.
"Oh I don't know? Because you've been an ass to one of the most important people in the world to them?" Jace questioned sarcastically while rolling his eyes while Magnus chuckled, disappearing as well into a portal.
