The soft ringing of a phone was enough to wake up the brunette, his dark brown eyes slowly blinking open as one hand went to the noisy thing as the other continued wrapped around his girlfriend.

His eyes shut closed immediately as the light bruised his irises, quickly tapping on the screen until the sound was finally cut off and the light diminished.

Nate would be more than happy to stay there with Morgana, but he wouldn't dare to leave his family alone in a mission, even though he knew that they were capable of dealing with almost everything by themselves.

Untangling his body from hers, the male couldn't help but chuckle lowly as she continued to sleep soundlessly while listening to the nature.

Had it been a few years ago, she would have jumped on the first ring of the phone, with a very sharp dagger pressed against his neck as he waited, very wide eyed, for her to realize it was only him.

Nowadays, whenever he went over, her sleep was deep enough for nothing to bother her peaceful slumber.

And that thought made him damn proud of himself.

Putting his clothes back on, Nate gave her a kiss on the forehead and pat the wolves that were laying near her bed, before he quickly left her chambers and returned to the institute.

"What are we talking about?"

Jumping in between his twin and his older brother, Nate smirked at the look of annoyance painted on Alec's face.

"Alec thinks this is white" holding up the wig, Nathaniel shook his head while putting his arm around his twin before he tilted his head to look at said sibling.

"Come on, Alec, years living with Izzy and you still don't know that this is platinum? Shame on you" the twins laughed as Alec playfully pushed them away.

"The important ones are here, Jace, you can start" Nate exclaimed, leaning against a wall, bringing the blonde's attention away from the monitors and towards the Lightwood trio.

"Ha ha, very funny. Nice choice, Izzy. Demons dig blondes" Smirking up at Alec, the eldest couldn't help but roll his eyes once again at his siblings.

"All right, guys, for some reason our demon friends are killing mundanes and draining their blood"

Nate frowned at the statement, but followed silently after the others, waiting to hear all of the information they had before he gave his input.

"Why do they want blood? Isn't that vampire territory?" Alec questioned what everyone was thinking about.

"I don't know, Alec, lazy vampires, maybe?" Jace proposed, not looking back at the siblings, as Nate spoke up.

"I don't think so, vampires enjoy the thrill of the hunt, why would they simply leave the 'fun' part for the demons?"

His twin nodded along, twirling the wig around her finger as she finished his thought "There must be something special about their blood"
