"I don't care if I need to set this world on fire until there's no one left but you and me. The world will burn around us, and I'll gladly live in chaos with you as long as the only person that is a danger to you is me"

Mora's mysterious powers seemed to be working wonders. The encompassing darkness provided a sense of comfort, allowing Izzy and the others to think more clearly and strategically than before when they faced the knights of Hell.

"Feels like a warm, cozy blanket" Izzy murmured, her excitement evident as her fingers grazed the protective shadows that coiled around her. She playfully whispered, "Hey there, Mor" winking at the shadows with a mischievous grin.

The shadows responded by twirling around her body, eliciting giggles from Izzy. Unbeknownst to her, Mora's lips curled upwards, finding amusement despite the dire circumstances they faced.

"Izzy, fo-" Jace was about to alert her, a scowl deep on his face as he stared at the knights and the queen of Hell, cursing Morgana mentally for not sharing her plan as he had no idea what they should do nor what to expect from the enemies.

But as the words formed on his lips, the knight of War had raised her hands in the air and with it, a hundred swords wreathed in hellfire materialized in the air, hovering menacingly above them.

Wearing a cruel smirk, the red-haired knight swiftly made a cutting motion with her hand, sending the swords hurtling towards the demons and the Lightwood siblings with great force.

"Purgatory" War pronounced, clenching her fist. The hellfire erupted from the blades' impact on the ground, enveloping the area. The temperature soared, and the ground quaked as spikes emerged, impaling those unfortunate enough to be nearby. However, the shadows deepened, shrouding the chaos and preventing anyone from witnessing the devastation. The only sounds that filled the air were the crackling of burning flames and the harrowing screams.

A low chuckle reverberated, sending shivers down everyone's spines. All eyes darted around, hearts pounding with adrenaline, trying to locate the source of the sound.

"Disappointing" Morgana whispered near War's ear, causing the red-haired knight's eyes to widen. War swiftly turned towards the sound, and there stood Morgana, half of her face exuding an otherworldly beauty. Her left eye shone bright like the moon, while her right side bore demonic scars that marred her skin, with her right eye radiating a darker shade of silver, a foreboding sight.

War's gaze faltered as Morgana smiled sharply, her arms casually linked behind her back, seemingly unfazed by the threat before her. The other knights swiftly redirected their attention to Morgana, ready to defend their queen.

However, Death observed the unfolding situation from the sidelines, her suspicions deepening. Just as War and Famine launched their attacks, a humanoid shadow enveloped Morgana. Its eyes burned bright white, and its talon-like fingers impaled the knights effortlessly, treating them like mere dolls.

The shadow-demon smiled as it felt the knights' flesh tearing apart, its teeth sharp as razors. Accompanying the demon was an angel seated on a fiery carriage. With beautiful dark skin and captivating green eyes, his smile harbored no peace.

His name...

"Belial..." Lilith hissed, taking a step back as she analyzed the situation, Belial was a fallen Angel of the same order as Lucifer, a prince of Darkness, the prince of Hell.

Her eyes roamed between him and Morgana, her daughter's smile sharpened, like a knife, as she gave the mortal cup to him.

Morgana wouldn't win a fight against the knights of hell on her own, she also knew Belial wasn't trustworthy to lay the lives of her family on his hands, but there was no way Lilith would engage a fight against him, her options were limited.

"It seems like you're causing quite a problem here, Lilith" the fallen angel spoke, his voice carrying a sultry tone. His serpentine eyes surveyed the surroundings before meeting Izzy's gaze, holding it for a moment.

"What an exquisite beauty"

Mora grimaced as his voice echoed in her head. His power was a nuisance, especially when she couldn't simply turn him off. They shared an interesting friendship — he wanted to overthrow Lucifer, and she shared the same desire with Lilith. The fallen archangel of the flame and the half-breed of shadows, as he would often humorously put it.

"Death, my dear, it seems to me like you're killing demons for no reason. The Mortal Cup is already where it should be" Belial addressed Death, the oldest creature present. She bowed low, nodding in apology.

"I apologize for the inconvenience. We should return to hell. There's no reason to shed more blood here" Death spoke as she knelt before the prince. With that, she disappeared, followed by the others.

A moment of silence hung in the air, and then Nate scoffed, looking incredulous at the fallen angel. "You just told her to leave."

Belial smirked, his overly dramatic demeanor fading as he cracked his shoulders and walked forward. "I'm quite a charming person."

"You're barely a person," Mora argued, rolling her eyes as the shadows returned to her body.

"Ah, yes, I'm an angel, you lowly demon," Belial responded, crossing his toned arms in a sassy manner.

"You're a real angel?" the Lightwood siblings asked, their eyes filled with wonder, like excited children.

Morgana and Belial exchanged a glance before bursting into laughter, surprising the group with Mora's contagious laughter.

"Mmhmm," the huntress hummed.

"Archangel, fallen to be precise. Daddy dearest didn't like my murderous behavior, lying tendencies..."

"Lack of empathy, lack of guilt, aggression—defective, really," Morgana chimed in, causing Belial to glare at her. He cleared his throat before shrugging and offering them an innocent smile.

"So he decided to send me away with big brother Luci. It's been such an adventure!"
