I walked down the aisle with my wedding dress trailing behind me. I looked at everyone and then at my groom. He was perfect. For someone else that is. The one I neeed was Hunter and I didn't want to settle for less. I looked at all the smiling faces and then I felt that the smile that was supposed to be displayed on my face wasn't there. I couldn't make myself love Adam when my heart already belonged to Hunter. I finally reached Adam and took his open hand. He looked at me tenderly and with such love and admiration that I couldn't return to him. The pastor said his words and then took both of our hands and joined them. "Do you Adam Stanley West take Emma Jane Thompson to be your lovely wedded wife through sickness and in health for as long as you both shall live." The pastor said.

"I do," Adam said with such sureness in his voice. He wasn't going to regret marrying me even after he died. Now was my turn. "Do you Emma Jane Thompson take Adam Stanley West to be your lovely wedded husband through sickness and in health for as long as you both shall live." The pastor said now looking at me. I sucked in a deep breath and looked at Adam.

"I do not," I said. A gasp erupted in the crowd and Adam smiled at me.

"Please tell us why." The pastor said.

"As much as I want to I don't love Adam anymore. I mean sure I love him as a best friend to brother type level, but not as a life long partner. I'm sorry Adam for putting you through this, but I just can't make such a huge mistake in my life that I'll regret every day." I said. Adam took my hands in his and kissed it softly like he had when we first met. "I will always love you Emma and if you love another I will be there for you cheering for your love to work." He said.

"Your so good to me and I do this to you," I said.

"Don't worry about it, Emma. I just hope I find a love like yours and Hunter's." Adam said.

"How'd you know?" I asked.

"I'm a pretty smart guy remember." He said.

"How could I ever forget," I said.

"Now go get your man." He said. I picked up my dress and started to run back down the aisle until I got to the car. I got inside and started to drive away from the church and to Hunter. I made it to his house easily. I jumped out and went into the backyard where I saw Maria dressed as a princess with her mom and dad standing there. Hunter had a smile on his face, but it wasn't one that he gave me. Emptiness was there and I knew exactly where it came from. "Hunter," I said. He turned around and saw me standing there in my wedding dress waiting for him. "Aren't you suppose to be getting married right now?" He asked.

"Not to him," I said.

"Interesting." He said. I walked up to him and smiled beginning to cry. He quickly whipped the tears away and I smiled at him. "I love you," I said.

"You know I can't do this." He said.

"Tell me how you feel," I said.

"I love you." He said.

"That's all there is to it," I said wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him. Here is where I belonged. I belonged with Hunter forever and not with Adam.
