I rolled over in my bed as last night's events played over in my head. I got out of bed and got dressed. I needed to talk to my aunt Helen and fast. Maybe she knew if marrying Adam was the right thing to do. I got dressed in casual jeans, a shirt, high-tops, and I topped everything off with a jacket and my blonde hair in a high ponytail. I got in my car and drove to my aunt and uncle's house. The front door was locked so I went through the back. "Hello," I said walking toward the cabin. The door burst open and I jumped in fear. Hunter came out and brushed the sweat off of his forehead. "Didn't mean to scare you," he said. "It's alright. Have you seen my aunt?" I asked.

"She just left to take Lindsey out somewhere," he said.

"Do you know when she'll be back?" I asked.

"Hard to say," he said.

"What about my uncle," I said.

"Left for work," he said. He looked super hot in his plain white t-shirt. I shouldn't be attracted to him at this moment, but I was. I had to practically force my eyes not to wonder, but they often did without my permission. "Daddy." someone yelled. Both Hunter and I turned to the person. It was an adorable little girl wearing a school's uniform. She had the same hair as Hunter had and her eyes were just a lovely as he had been. The girl ran up to Hunter and he gladly lifted her up off the ground into a hug. "Hey pumpkin," he said.

"Hi." a woman said holding a school bag.

"What are you doing here?" Hunter asked coldly.

"Your daughter wanted to see her father." the woman said.

"Your daughter," I said. Could Hunter be my better half? We both had daughters that are/were with the other spouse. I saw my daughter whenever I could, but I thought that she would be better off with her father at the time. "I mean why are you picking her up after school?" Hunter asked.

"She got out early and she wanted to surprise you at work." the woman said.

"So she called you," Hunter said,

"She is my daughter." the woman said.

"I think I should leave," I said.

"No, this is your home," Hunter said.

"Hello, I'm Angela." the woman said.

"Emma," I said.

"Please, can you not tell your aunt and uncle?" Hunter pleaded to set the little girl down.

"I will after I find out what this beautiful little girl's name is," I said looking at Hunter's daughter.

"Go ahead tell her your name," Hunter said to the girl.

"I'm Maria." the girl said.

"I'm Emma. Are you hungry?" I asked.

"Yes," she said.

"You don't have to," Hunter said.

"I was about to go make some sandwiches. Would you like to help?" I asked.

"If my daddy says I can," Maria said.

"Can she daddy?" I teased. Hunter smiled a pure smiled that went up to his eyes.

"Okay just bring me one," he said.

"Promise," Maria said and ran to take my hand. Seeing Hunter and Maria made me miss my daughter more than usual. I left her with her father because he could offer more, and now I realized that it was about time that I fight for my daughter back. She always says that she wishes she could live with me because her father doesn't understand her.
