2 Years Later:

I set the plates evenly on the tables that Hunter had brought outside last night. About a year after my almost marriage with Adam ended Hunter proposed and obviously I said yes. By the time our honeymoon ended, I was pregnant with my second child. Hunter and I decided to name him Henry Graham Meyer. "Mom Henry's up," Skylar said handing me her baby brother. My wedding was beautiful and everyone was there even Skylar's father and Adam. Both of them supported me and of course, my aunt was almost happier than me if possible. Hunter came outside taking Henry from me so that I could finish setting up before everyone arrived. We had just moved into a bigger house since we now need more room for little Henry. Maria was with her other mother for the weekend. Turns out all Angela needed was a reason to stay off of drugs and Maria was that reason. Now we were pretty good friends and I loved having her over for company. Hunter kissed me when Angela and Maria came in. "Ewww, mommy," Maria said. I pulled away and she ran to give me help. "Did you have fun with your mom?" I asked.

"Yeah, but I missed you too." She said.

"I missed you too," I said.

"Do you need any help?" Angela asked.

"Can you get these two dressed," I said looking at Maria and Skylar.

"Come on guys," Angela said.

"You're a lifesaver," I said as they went inside. Angela nodded before going inside. I could still tell that she was in love with Hunter, but he was with me. "You're amazing you know that?" He asked putting Henry in his high chair. "Hunter." I began.

"Don't start babe. I'm in love with you and I always will be. She's a past like Adam is yours." He said. "I was only going to say that I love you," I said smiling. I often would ask Hunter if he still loved Angela and we would get into a little dispute over whether he did or not. Mostly because I am jealous that she had him before I did. "In that case. I love you too." He said leaning down to kiss me. I know we sound helplessly in love, but think of what we went through to finally be together. I mean I almost got married to the wrong guy for crying out loud and if that isn't enough blame it on the fact that we newlywed. Henry began to cry and I walked over to get him when a hand came into contact with my butt. "Hunter," I said.

"What. Is it my fault that you're a hot mom." He said.

"You're a hot dad," I said.

"I know." He said and I laughed picking up Henry. "You'll be just like your daddy. Except you won't almost let the love of your life marry someone else." I said rocking Henry.

"You're still on that." He said.

"Yes, because if I was an idiot I'd be miserable," I said.

"Good thing your not right." He said coming closer to me.

"No kissing. I have the baby." I said.

"Come on Em. We're giving him a head start in life." He said. If I were an idiot I would never know this. Never know what it would be like to be completely happy with the man that I love. I never trusted love thinking that it would always betray me, but that's where I was wrong. Just because you lose someone doesn't mean that the world won't be able to give you someone else that'll help you through every little thing. I found my person and there is no way I'd ever let him go. EVER! I finally had the family that everyone wants. The whole picket fence experience.
