Trapped(Completed)

The Announcment

I arrived at my aunt and uncles house. Adam got out first and helped me out. I saw an unfamiliar truck pull up in front of us. I watched as the truck and Hunter got out. I looked stunned because he was stunning. Not that he wasn't every other day, but for some reason, I couldn't keep myself composed. "Woah," I said aloud. Hunter approached us and nodded to us.

"You must be the worker," Adam said.

"Not tonight," he said.

"What do you mean?" I managed to choke out.

"Lindsey and Amanda invited me," he said.

"Yes, I did," Lindsey said in the doorway now. She wasn't even halfway ready.

"Go get ready." I laughed.

"You look hot tonight," Amanda said.

"You do look nice," Hunter said.

"Thanks Amanda," I said.

"How am I supposed to stop that," Lindsey said frustrated and then ran back upstairs.

"I better help her," Amanda said.

"Okay," I said. Amanda raced after Lindsey and I stepped inside. I was relieved that no one pointed out my ring, but I knew that someone would. My aunt walked into the room trying to fix her bracelet. I walked to her and helped her. This is where my secret gets discovered. When I finished with her bracelet I pulled my hand back, but she grabbed it. "Is that an engagement ring?" she asked. She was never big on whispering so I felt the whole room stop. Amanda and Lindsey then came downstairs dressed. My uncle had recently entered the room and I had the feeling all eyes were on me. "Who is he?" my uncle Jack asked.

"Adam," I said.

"What," Lindsey said.

"We have been dating for a while," I said.

"What about Hunter," Lindsey said.

"Told you she'd pick Adam," Amanda said.

"Pick Adam there was never anyone else in the competition," I said.

"What about the cabin. I didn't lock you two in there for nothing." Lindsey said.

"You locked us in," I said.

"Nothing happened. She's just my bosses niece." Hunter said. I felt hurt that that was all I was to him after we shared that kiss, but it was true. I was engaged now and now more than ever I had to stay away from Hunter or lose Adam and I just couldn't bear losing another person.
