  "i really don't understand why you're making me choose." y/n argued.

  "it's a simple decision, y/n."

  "well if it's so simple then why can't you two just figure it out?"

  wanda and natasha exchanged annoyed glances then glared back at y/n. they shoved the two dresses closer to her as she huffed in defeat.

  "the blue one i guess."

  wanda smiled at the choice and strutted out of the room. natasha noticed y/n's mood and stayed with her.

  "so, were you gonna tell me what's wrong or was i going to have to figure it out for myself?"

  "uh, there's nothing wrong with me." y/n scoffed.

  "лжец (liar)" natasha mumbled.

  since the battle with ultron and his army, y/n has felt empty and numb. why did she feel that way? no one knows. only two people do. the emotionless girl and the good for nothing captain.

  "follow my direct orders, y/n. i can't risk you getting hurt again." steve demanded while trying to fight off robots.

  "i can handle myself, stevie." y/n playfully argued back.

  amidst trying to take apart these annoying scraps, y/n was only focused on the man who made her world go round.

  while steve was trying to fight the robots, he was thinking about how he betrayed the woman he loved by sleeping with another girl.

ultron approached the couple and mechanically chuckled, "look at the lovely pair trying to fight off my offspring. i'm glad you two can still fight despite the secrets being kept between you."

y/n stopped punching, "what secrets?"

"don't listen to him, y/n-" steve was cut off by ultron shooting a blast at him.

"lover boy didn't tell you?" ultron laughed louder, "he slept with someone else, darling."

y/n felt the love drain out of her. ultron knew everything so he wasn't lying. steve ran to y/n but before he could reach her, she shot lighting at him, causing him to fall back to the ground.

"it's time for me to go." ultron started.

before he could fly again, y/n jumped and strangled the robot. she used her anger and ripped out the mechanism used for his heart. ultron's body fell while y/n flew away and continued her fight.

steve huffed in defeat and kept fighting. he figured they would talk about the situation once the battle was over.

"so that's why you've been cooped up in your room since then?" y/n nodded, "i'm gonna kill him."

"no, natasha. i'll figure this out, okay? just be my moral support for after our conversation."

natasha sighed, "fine. but give him hell."

y/n chuckled as natasha left. before y/n could blink, steve walked into her room unannounced.

"i hope i'm not intruding."

"isn't that what you just did?" y/n snarled.

"look, we need to talk about what was said in sokovia."

"no we don't. it was made perfectly clear by that monster."

  steve huffed in defeat. he didn't know if he should come clean and admit to what he did or, lie. he chose the latter.

  "exactly. he's a monster. he was just trying to get into your head, baby. i would never do anything like that."

  y/n scoffed, "you're lying now? since when does america's golden boy lie?"

  y/n pulled out her phone, shoving it in steve's face. pictures on the device showed him kissing sharon carter. voice recordings played as steve hung his head.

  "you can't tell anyone about this, sharon."

  steve should've known better than to lie to the deadliest woman in the world. he tried to find words to explain himself but he came up empty handed.

  "don't try to explain yourself. go be with your new girl because we're done." y/n turned her back and hid her tears.

  steve placed his hand on her shoulder, "no," he made the crying girl face him, "i'm not going to lose you like that. yes, what i did was horrible but i know you can find it in your heart somewhere to forgive me."

  "it's not that easy, steve."

  "make it then. i'm going to fight for us to work out. i love you and i can't lose you, y/n."

  "you should've thought of that before you cheated."

  y/n took steve's hand and flipped him on his back, kicking him in the chest, and fleeing the room. he ran after her but she was long gone.

  he fell to his knees in the middle of the hallway, hanging his head in his hands.

  "how could i be so stupid?"
