i can speak to dogs? || tony

  "i said no y/n." tony annoyingly says.

  "please tony! i think this is a really good idea." i whine.

  "getting a dog is not a good idea. it could get hurt here or pee on something and it will blow up. this is no place to keep a dog, especially a puppy."

  "tony, i can train the damn thing. i'm really good with animals." i plead, trying to sway him.

  he rolls his eyes and walks away from me. i huff and leave the tower. whenever tony and i argue about stupid things, i always take a walk to central park to play with the dogs.

  as i read my book on the bench, a dog runs up to me, jumping up on my lap.

  "hey little guy. are you lost buddy."

  as i pet the dog, i look around to see if anyone is looking for their dog. people aren't paying attention to the world around them. i look at the dogs neck to see if he has a collar but there isn't one there.

  i pick up the dog and take it to my car. i get in the front seat and i hear a voice, "i love car rides!"

  "what the fuck! who said that?"

  i look around my car to see if anyone is under the seats. the only thing in front of me is the dog. i try to shake off whatever just happened when i hear the voice again, "it's me silly! who else would be talking to you."

  i slowly turn my head to see that the dog moved to the front seat and it staring right at me.

  "did you just speak?" i wearily ask the dog.

  "yes i did! the names duke! pleasure to meet you human." the dog sticks it's little paw out for me to shake.

  "do you have owners?"

  "yes...you!"

  "tony isn't gonna like this."

  "who's tony? oh is he your dad?" duke nudges his paw at my shoulder.

  "what the hell? ew no."

  "oh! he's your boyfriend isn't he?"

  "yes. he is my boyfriend. he doesn't want to get a dog but i do."

  duke puts his paws together as if he's cracking his knuckles, "well looks like we're gonna have to talk some sense into this tony guy."

time skip

  duke and i arrive at home and he runs into the tower, "where's this tony fella?"

  "well if you would stop running i can show you." i say, catching up to duke.

  we get in the elevator and go to the lab. tony and bruce are in there working on their stupid science stuff. duke and i walk in and duke runs at tony, tackling him to the ground.

  "is this tony!?"

  "yeah that's him!"

  duke gets off tony and he stands up. tony and bruce both look at me with confused stares.

  "who are you talking to y/n?" tony asks.

  "the dog. his names duke." i sit down on a stool next to duke.

  "y/n why are you having a conversation with the damn thing?"

  "you guys can't hear him?" i ask.

  "all we can hear is him barking. i think you might be able to talk to animals y/n!" bruce says, shocked.

  "I WHAT!?"
