you're tearing me apart || tony's side

  "it's decision time sweetheart. whose side are you on?" tony says.

i rub my head and look at the documents on the table. choosing sides is childish but it's the only answer to this situation.

steve is my dad. in the future he goes back in time after a battle that destroyed human kind. when i discovered i had powers, i came to the stark tower for answers. the avengers asked me who i was and when i told them, their faces dropped. i explained to them everything from the future, leaving out the parts of natasha and tony's deaths. my father and i became very close, very quickly. everyone kept reminding me that i looked so much like him and acted exactly like him. he's protected me from so much and vice versa. him and i butt heads constantly but he still is my hero.

when i came to the stark tower, tony and i clicked. he helped me train everyday and we became best friends instantly. years have gone by and now tony and i are married. i've told him everything he needs to do to keep himself from getting killed. my dad explained every mission they went on to me when i was little. my memory skills are impeccable. he's saved me from so many things as well. i know my time i have with him is short, and now if i can save him one more time, i'd gladly do it.

"c'mon sweet girl. what's your answer?" my dad asks.

i sigh, "dad, i love you so much. i would die to save you, but i have to agree with tony on this one. please don't be mad."

my dad storms out of the room, leaving me slumping deep into the chair and crying. i try to disappear but it doesn't work. this hurts me more that it hurts him.

"hey baby it's okay," tony lifts me up, carrying me to our room.

"he's my dad tony. i just broke his heart but i can't be on his side. it's not right."

"this will all be over with soon my love. now rest your eyes baby girl."
tony kisses my forehead once i lay down and close my eyes.

did i do the right thing?
