TRIGGER WARNING: Self Harm and Suicide Attempt⚠️

y/n layed in bed next to her husband who didn't love her anymore. she couldn't blame him for feeling that way, after the events of fighting thanos, who could love her?

she hated how the sun shined so bright every morning and how the birds sung stupidly happy songs. the couples on the streets shared kisses as her lips went cold. her body ached from not being held as the people around her shared embraces constantly. but, it was okay. who could love a monster anyway?

bucky slowly started to wake up as y/n hid under the blanket. she hoped he didn't notice her movements and would get up and leave.

"i know you're awake, y/n." bucky's groggy voice echoed.

busted.

"sorry, i didn't mean to wake you up."

"you didn't wake me. that bright ass sun did."

y/n was glad that their conversation was pleasant. the pair never had any nice things to say to each other anymore. y/n hoped that today would finally be a good day.

"can you stop looking at me with those dumb eyes. i don't want to talk to you." bucky huffed.

day ruined and she was only awake for ten minutes.

"yeah, uh, s-sorry."

"and stop stuttering like a fucking child." bucky demanded as he got out of bed.

y/n didn't apologize. she chose it would be better to stay quiet than to continue talking.

"don't you know how to say sorry?"

not better. definitely not better.

"sorry, buck." she mumbled as she threw the blanket over her head and laid back down.

bucky didn't know why he was acting so mean to the woman he loved. after finding out the truth behind y/n's past, he couldn't see her for the person she grew to be. he could only see her as a monster.

bucky trudged to the kitchen where sam and wanda were sitting down eating. he smiled at them and started making himself coffee.

"bucky? when are you gonna start being nice to your wife?" wanda asked.

"how did you know?"

wanda giggled, "i know everything but that's not the point. you need to look past what she did and love her for who she is now."

"i agree." sam said with a mouthful of food.

"how could i love someone who killed my bestfriend?" bucky argued.

"that wasn't her and you know that. thanos made her do it. he forced her to kill steve and she tried to kill me too. do i hate her? no. i got over it, and you should too." wanda huffed and left the kitchen.

bucky sighed and took a seat across from sam. he noticed sam staring at him and gave him a confused glance.

"she's right, you know. you need to forgive her." sam stated.

"i know. i just don't know how." bucky admitted.

"you should try therapy. it helps."

sam patted bucky's shoulder and left him alone to think.

bucky knew that his teammates were right. he had to forgive her eventually. he couldn't bring himself to look his wife in the eyes without wanting to stab her like she did to steve.
