determined.
hyunjin stacked the chocolate chip cookies onto the styrofoam plate, covering it with a roll of saran wrap to protect them from the harsh weather conditions.
he was determined to see jisung. especially after having that dream last night, of the memory of the day he'd gone to orientation.
there was one day left until christmas, and all day, every hour on the hour, he'd gone right over to jisung's apartment to knock on the door and ask to speak to him.
so far, minho had opened the door every single time; his face had grown angrier and more hostile with each visit.
the first time, hyunjin had dropped by to "say hi to kkami". minho had sent him away without so much as a peep at the dog.
the next, he'd knocked on the door to wish "the happy couple a merry christmas". minho had simply flared his nostrils and asked if that was all.
then he'd shown up holding a poorly-wrapped gift, claiming it was for kkami. minho had pinched the corner of the gift in two of his fingers and flung it somewhere behind him into the apartment.
and last time, hyunjin had arrived with his camera, declaring that he had pictures to show jisung, so was he around?
now, he was going to be taking cookies. hyunjin eagerly put his shoes on, taking his coat from the rack and pulling it on.
"going to see jisung again?"
hyunjin turned in the middle of buttoning his coat to smile earnestly at his mom. "mhm. i'm taking him cookies. maybe he'll actually be home this time."
"okay, well, wear your scarf. it's too cold outside," she frowned pensively at the window in the living room, which showcased a gloomy, cloudy day.
hyunjin answered wordlessly, making a mental note to ask minho if jisung wore his scarf. he didn't necessarily want it back, he was just going to enjoy the pure anger that would surely run across minho's haughty features.
but he opened the front door to head outside and was surprised to see jisung standing there.
hyunjin's eyes immediately locked onto the white, layered scarf that jisung currently wore around his neck. it was hyunjin's missing scarf. but he didn't seem to know that.
jisung fiddled with his gloved hands, looking adorable in a coat that dwarfed his small frame, and once again with that hat that had the poof on top.
hyunjin closed the door behind him and walked down the steps, a smile spreading across his face. "jisung. you're here?"
the brunette cleared his throat. "i figured... i had to stop you here, before you came by again. minho threatened to start preheating the air fryer to 180 degrees so that if you came by one more time, he'd be ready."
hyunjin laughed nervously. "wow, we've barely seen each other a few times, and he's already cooking for me."
"ah, hyunjin, you know that's not-!. . ." jisung dragged his covered hands across his face in frustration, sighing deeply. he then dropped them and shook his head, "so, you wanted to talk to me. then, fine. walk with me. let's talk. though i can't imagine you need to hear any more than what you already have."
i love this part of the song sm help </3
