I stood in a hallway, family photos littered the walls. Some embarrassing; others humorous. I was short, barely taller then the hallway table. I knew this home, it was my childhood home. It was a smaller house then the one that had burned down, we had moved to a larger house after my Ekio was born. She was the 5 years younger then I was. I didn't have many memories in this house, neither did Kenji; my younger brother. Being only 2 years apart, he would have been 3. I continued do the hall, as yelling began to fill our small home. I listened to my parents having quite a heated conversation. When I made it around the corner I saw them, my parents, mom was so young and very pregnant. Dad was young as well, but really tired looking. His jacket was torn, cuts sat on his face. I leaned against the trim of the door, trying to stay unnoticed. "Goro, I can't believe you!" My mother yelled, obviously frustrated at him. "You can't keep doing this shit! You have 2 children, almost 3!"
"Rin, I'm sorry, it would have been seamless if that dickhead hero didn't get in my fucking way." He retorted, grabbing his jacket ripping it off.
"I don't care if All Might himself showed up, you shouldn't have been out in the first place." She growled out, sticking a finger in his face. He gently grabbed her hand and looked deep in her eyes.
"Baby, listen, it was a good job. Not high risk either, only a 2 million yen job." He turned her around, laying his head on her shoulder. "I know you miss the field too, but we need the money, and a new place." His hands wrapped around her waist, resting them on her belly. "I'm sorry, Rin."
As I stood there watching, I felt little hands grab my own. "Why, are momma and papa yelling?" My little brother asked, rubbing his eyes.
"I don't know, they seem better now." My mouth moved without my command.
"Kids?" I look back to them and they both look down at us. "What are you doing up?" They both walked over, each picking up a child. I sat in my father's and Kenji sat in mom's.
"You were being loud." Kenji puffed, crossing his arms.
"I'm sorry, munchkin." My father said, ruffling his hair.
My eyes slowly opened, the smell of cedar wood and smoke filled my senses. My mind was suddenly pulled back to the dream, and realization hit me. "They were... villains? B-but why were they... why would they..." my mind was racing a million miles an hour. I glanced out the window seeing it was really dark, the bedroom door opened quickly and Dabi walked in with his gear on.
"Good, you're up. Put your shit on, the 'boss' wants us all." He states, rolling his eyes when the word boss left his mouth. I nodded and started grabbed my stuff, my mind was so distracted. I was spiraling with this new memory that had surfaced. I began to strip to replace my clothes, my back to Dabi.
...Dabi's POV...
I walked into the room expecting to see her sleeping peacefully, after her fainting in my arm I grew worried. Something in me was eating at me to comfort her, help her through her trauma's... like he never got. But she was wake, "Good, you're up. Put your shit on, the 'boss' wants us all." I sighed, my eyes studying her. She seemed confused... lost in thought. She didn't say a word to me, she just started getting ready. I didn't even process what was happening until she was standing in only her bra, her back to me. I stared at her body, examining her left side; her scarred side. The scar wrapped around her back not as harsh as her arm but was still quite noticeable. My mind began to drift off into thoughts of touching her... feeling her. I shook my head and walked out not wanting to indulge myself for to long.
...(Y/N)'s POV...
...Timeskip...
Our walk to the hideout was quiet, I was still mulling over the fact my parents were villains and tried so hard to make me a hero. It just didn't make sense to me, did they want an inside rat? Was this some elaborate plan that was never fulfilled? What were the countless speeches after getting arrested or doing something violent? I was filled with so many questions. "Are you coming?" Davi's voice rang out to me, I quickly looked up at him.
I had stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, lost in thought. "What's bothering you?" His words came out concerned yet low. I felt this tone cause my spine to tingle, and this urge to open up filled me.
"I-I remember something." I walk up to him, he looks down at him, squinting his eyes. "My parents were villains... I over heard them when I was younger. I'm just confused... I don't understand why they wanted me to be a hero... it doesn't make sense." I sighed walking ahead of him, "I mean if they broke the law and were criminals... why the fuck... would they care if I also went down that path! It doesn't make any fucking sense! It's driving me up the fucking wall!" I exclaimed spinning around to face him once more.
"(Y/N), I'm sure they had some kind of reason." He turned me around and began to lightly walk me forward. "And we are going to be late if you keep this up." He whispered in my ear, before shoving me a little to keep me moving. I sighed rubbing my face.
When we finally got to the hideout I saw faces I didn't recognize. And that made me uncomfortable. I watched them closely, studying their movements and mannerisms. Dabi stood in a corner avoiding everyone, I sat at the bar. "(Y/N), do you want anything?" I smiled at Kurogiri and nod a little.
"Yes please, I need to distress." I sighed, letting my eyes wander back to Dabi; who was slightly glaring at me as Kurogiri pours my drink. I stick my tongue out at him, he rolls his eyes. I hear something open a door behind me.
"Hello everyone, we're going to be attacking 1A's trip to kidnapping a potential candidate for the league."
